It looks like the "part"/Hockey pucks are still there. More than likely wrapped, maybe painted. The wrap would be similar to if you put some saran wrap on some leftover, that sort of idea. Get up close and see if you can tell if there is some bubbling/peeling where you can start the removal...

Installed Suma Performance mirrors. Still getting used to the convex lens but I can definitely see a lot more of my surroundings than before. Install was easy thanks to @CanadiaegeanBlue's / @Unity Performance 's YouTube video. Referenced this video as well, it has a few troubleshooting tips...
Based on this I made the switch to the 27Won Street RMM and can confirm it's less harsh than my stock with Perrin inserts. I only have like 50 miles on it as well. The change out was a total PITA though :D
Installed the 27Won Street RMM, I hope I never have to do this again, getting engine side bolt past the front pipe is a huge PITA. Also removing the stock mount with the Perrin inserts was annoying too, the insert kept getting caught on a lip in the sub frame. Also couldn't get the torque...
It's no problem at all. The "Search" features in the forums don't typically work that well, but the method I mentioned usually does pretty good (I got the exact same advice from someone when I was inquiring about something on a motorcycle forum before), figured I'd pass it along.
