Yes, My but the Honda mechanic loosen all 3 bolts slightly, drove back up for 50 ft and then forward very slowly to reseat the strut, and then re-torqed it. No more issues perfect, did both side too. Sometimes they are not seated perfect at the factory, Must sit 100% flat in the strut tower...
You're very lucky because to get Honda to replace the complete transmission, it is very very rare. I know a lot of people were having a CVT jerking issue and they did not replace the trans-you have to get pretty serious for them to replace that so I would consider yourself very lucky.
Thanks, was your car already warmed up when it made the startup grind. Worst in hot days.
I put this by somebody today that knows a lot about this car and they were quite surprised that it was the transmission. I've had experiences in the past where dealers replace parts that they should not...
OK just asked my best bud, they got to pull the complete CVT to replace that valve solenoid . Major work, most don't have the training to do this.
UPDATE: They are also going to have to up the cooling system or the fan on the 1.5.
This could be a result of excessive engine heat. Last summer...
Thanks, But that is weird. that kind of noise from a CVT. THat part number is for the complete CVT and only on 1 site. So, they replace the complete CVT trans?????
Like what, My friend who is super mechanic says it raises the oil psi, he says a sensor reads it and does not engage the VTC.
Well this is only a Hypothesis, and not in stone...As far as not doing damage...until they find a resolution, there is no telling.
