Couldnāt disagree more. On a reasonably well marked road, my Civic will drive itself.
I was skeptical prior to purchasing the Sensing package on my ā16. I had a conversation with a buddy who has an Outback who convinced me to do it. Now, Iāll never buy a new car without Adaptive Cruise...
I can't say I've ever owned another car with an, "insulator" in the past. If the bigger, Group 35 or 41 fits, I'll not lose sleep over removing the foam.
Frankly, after seeing this discussion, I assumed the foam was merely a space filler for the smaller battery.
Very easy to change the battery. No programming necessary.
Compare that to my last Audi: I changed the battery and the car wouldnāt start. The ownerās manual had no instructions on reprogramming the fob. I still had the free Audi Assist (On Star). I buzzed them up and their response was...
I pity ALL OF US having to listen to your obnoxious thumping. Have some respect for others.
I like my music loud as well but I keep my home windows closed if I crank it up, or I wear a pair of headphones.
Just because you like your songs doesnāt mean the rest of the world does as well.
I decided to check my battery today and thought I would share.
Background
I bought the car in late April if 2016 so Iām very close to 30 months of ownership. Approximately 42K miles in the odometer.
I drove the car approx 10 miles last night mixed city/ highway driving. Temps in high 60s...
As long as your replacing the equivalent group size (and CCA ratings are greater than or comparable), there shouldnāt be a problem, other than the dent the AGM puts into your wallet.
AGMS wonāt spill - no liquid electrolyte and are more tolerant of being deeply discharged but for most folks...
When my battery dies, Iām planning on replacing the Group 51 battery with Group 35 like the Canadian Civics seem to ship with, Obviously, a bigger battery makes sense in the cold, Northern climates.
I noticed Honda places some foam in the sides of the US battery box to take up the extra...
I almost hate to go here but I, too, have had some strange electrical issues (see: https://www.civicx.com/threads/battery-issue.42054/#post-694914).
I keep an ODB connected to my car (running DASH on IOS )and frequently see my battery voltage drop as low as 12.1 V. This happens randomly -...
I have a '16 and have had a couple of strange battery issues.
The first instance (Summer of '18, I parked my car, came back a couple of hours later and it was dead. I'm virtually positive I didn't leave any electrics on. I got a jump and everything was fine.
Second time, the car presented...
I now have about 2500 miles on the P7s and a man happy. I've done a couple of major trips and my conclusions are:
Pros:
Quiet
Softer ride
Handle well in the rain
Good grip
Cons:
My mileage seems to have decrease just a tad
Overall I'm satisfied and would recommend the P7s.
Although I have less than fifty miles on the Pirellis, I do notice that they are much quieter than the old Firestones; they have a softer ride and are smoothing out road vibrations (as would be expected with new, deeper tread; they donāt feel as tight cornering but that too, could be because of...
Today I replaced my '16, OEM Firestones after 37,500 miles.
I decided on a new set of Pirelli P7s that seem like a decent set of all weather tourers.
How many miles did you get on yours?
I had noticed the beeps over the past few weeks but all Hell broke loose Wednesday, taking this issue to a new level.
So Wednesday, I get out of my car to go for a bike ride and heard the fast beeps and the car wouldn't lock. There was a a twist: the car was beeping and acting flakey so I...
I upgraded on Monday(?) to IOS 11 and have had three or four crashes already. Just tonight, I plugged in, started my car and the system rebooted displaying the Honda logo. The car screen then went totally blank.
Not feeling so good about my, "upgrade". (Brings back memories - alright...
It's 8 months later and I'm loving the light upgrade.
FWIW, I changed the replacement harness's 30 Amp fuse with a 10 Amp - figuring that 120 Watts should give plenty of start-up headroom for two 35 watt lights - and the headlights are working just fine.
Unlike the 2016 model, I noticed the...
