  3. Help me choose an exhaust system!

Glad you enjoy your HKS exhaust. I personally have the LegaMax. I’ve had it for the past few months. I previously had the AWE but had various issues with rattling which I couldn’t fix over 3 to 4 times. I just put down a deposit for the Tomei Type D. The HKS legamax is nice however a bit too...

I have the same issue. However the rattle seems to be at the top of the driver window. Any vibration from driving and it rattles.
  5. Presenting the AWE Exhaust Suite for the FK8 Civic Type R. Available now!

I did not run a Down Pipe with the AWE Track Edition nor with my current HKS Legamax setup. I thought about the Touring edition but in all honesty, I did not want to possibly end up in the same position with the droning as other users on here have mentioned.
  6. Presenting the AWE Exhaust Suite for the FK8 Civic Type R. Available now!

I agree with other users in this thread regarding the drone. I previously had the AWE Track Edition also. The sound is amazing, that I will give. However, the drone was harsh during cruising or highway speeds. It was very difficult to have conversations in the car with this installed. So I...

  8. Presenting the AWE Exhaust Suite for the FK8 Civic Type R. Available now!

As a matter of fact, I took it to 3 different individuals with good reputation here in my area. All of them complained about the hangar design was over exaggerated. And of course the slip joints was brought up as a negative feature of the exhaust system. I am using the front pipe provided in...

Well the clamps were adjusted and secured 3 times and the hangar continued to slowly but surely move towards the rear of the car and hit the red chassis stud causing rattling. The 4th time, the exhaust shop said it’s just best to cut a piece of the hangar off, give ample space, weld it back...

  12. 2020 Civic Type R Price Announced at $36,995 (a $695 Increase)

Unfortunately here in the Bay Area it was hard finding the FK8 at MSRP. Dealers were asking $12k-15k above MSRP. I paid $4.5k above MSRP. ($5K was my limit). So we will be seeing these Yellow FK8 at least at $60K here in the Bay Area... *See attached. This was for a 2019 model in San Jose...

  14. Rock/Stone in the Brakes (Video)

Well it was this damn pebble/stone. And it sure was hard to get as it was close to the brake caliper and laying on a flat surface. Had to remove the wheel. Push the dust shield back a bit to reach it and push it out with needle nose pliers. It’s nice to finally pull out of a parking lot...

  18. Civic Type R After-market Wheel Guide

This is correct. I recommend to have that information in the first post. It is highly recommended to have aftermarket lug nuts (acorn) for aftermarket wheels as the stock lug nuts will more than likely not fit.
  19. FK8 Master Spring Thread!

So far so good. They are definitely better on the 18" wheels due to having more meat on the tires.
