If your friends have 60-80 HP cars and are capable of merging with traffic safely I'd go with the 1.0. I can't imagine driving something that slow though my first car had 200 HP and it was an old Toyota camry.
You would have to be Senna to notice the difference from 60.3 front 39.7 rear on the Si to 59.6 and 40.4 on the LX MT. Not all of the changes are on the nose, bigger rotors, different suspension components. I think the 2.0 NA would lose on a tight autocross just from the lack of torque and LSD...

It only seems like you can pull a little more power above 6k with a ktuner. You should try a 6MT 1.5T that was my first 10th gen I tested and it seemed nice.
There is a single mass kit now. Eman is selling a kit to retro fit the CTR clutch and flywheel. I think the flywheel goes from 30 something pounds to around 15.
