I think the Type-R is unnecessary overkill. I also think it looks far too gaudy for my tastes. But for both of these things, I'm now in my mid 30s with a baby and long past my hot-rodding teens and 20s. Plus, with the 44 mile daily commute, the improved gas mileage is much appreciated too.

While I bought mine very, very used, my first manual transmission was similar! A 1990 Eagle Talon TSi AWD, bought in 2004, just after high school . My new Si is my 4th manual transmission after the Talon, a Scion tC, and Scion FR-S.
