  1. No more chirping with walk-away lock or manually double lock.

Update: Well we had a wet/slushy day and now the chirp is back to full volume. I guess it was just clogged, as pn_man said, and got cleaned off with the wet weather. I’ll have to remember to look the next time I’m under there to see how I can maybe prevent it from happening again.
  2. No more chirping with walk-away lock or manually double lock.

I’ll have to go through an auto-wash that gets the undercarriage and hope that does the trick.
  3. No more chirping with walk-away lock or manually double lock.

I’ve been looking for a diagram to see exactly where it is, but can’t seem to find one.
  4. No more chirping with walk-away lock or manually double lock.

Any idea what’s up? Sometimes I can faintly hear the chirp, but usually it just doesn’t do it at all. It used to chirp once when I would get out of the car, then chirp twice when I walk away and it auto-locks. And also when I would hit the lock button on the FOB twice quickly. The doors still...
  5. Anyone use oil extractor pumps from the top side to do their oil changes?

Any issues that I should know about? Brand of extractors you recommend?
  6. What did you do to your Civic today? (II)

Yeah, I've read that if the A/C is used while the condenser is busted, it can also cause the compressor to go bad. Seems like they should both be covered under warranty in that scenario, but I know they're not. It sucks and seems cheap on Honda's part to handle it like that.
  7. What did you do to your Civic today? (II)

Got the fuel pump recall done, and A/C condenser replaced under warranty the other day. Works great now. Wasn't until today that it was warm enough to really test it after it was fixed. Hopefully it stays fixed now. I've read here that people have gone through multiple condensers.
  8. How is your air conditioning?

Mine crapped out at the beginning of the summer. Got the condenser replaced under warranty the other day. Working great for now, but of course after having a string of hot/humid days for weeks, it's now cool outside. So I can't really test how cool the new A/C keeps the interior on really hot...
  9. What would cause a pulsing in the brake pedal while braking?

Everything is working great now. Braking is buttery smooth now. It's a 2019 model that I got at the very end of 2019. So there's a chance it sat around for a long time before I got it. I Googled to see if there's a way to find out exactly when a Honda was manufactured, but haven't found...
  10. What would cause a pulsing in the brake pedal while braking?

Update: Dropped my car off this morning for the fuel pump recall and A/C, and mentioned the pulsing in the brakes at the drop-off. The good news is that it was the condenser and not the compressor, so it's covered under warranty. The bad news is that as far as the pulsing I was feeling; The...
  11. What would cause a pulsing in the brake pedal while braking?

I did the wheel swaps myself and used a torque wrench and torqued them to the recommended 80 ft/lbs.
  12. What would cause a pulsing in the brake pedal while braking?

Hmmm. You might be onto something. I work on a probably 35ish degree angle hill and when I leave work, have to go down that hill. 5 days a week, for maybe 4-5 months shy of 2yrs of doing that. But it's probably less than a 1/2 mile of hill that I go down. I have to go fairly slow for two...
  13. What would cause a pulsing in the brake pedal while braking?

Definitely not hard enough to engage ABS. This happens every time I brake, and at low speed.
  14. What would cause a pulsing in the brake pedal while braking?

That's a bummer, considering the mileage and type of driving I do.
  15. What would cause a pulsing in the brake pedal while braking?

There's no shaking of the car or steering wheel or anything, at any speed. The only thing I can feel, is the pulsing in the brake pedal.
  16. What would cause a pulsing in the brake pedal while braking?

What are the common problems with that symptom? Noticed it awhile ago, but it wasn't that bad. It was more noticeable under braking at higher speeds, which was not common. Just the occasional fast/hard braking needed when someone cut into my lane on the highway and such. But I've been driving...
  17. What did you do to your Civic today? (II)

Just took this a few minutes ago. Which one of you is this? Lol. Lakers fan, maybe?
  18. What did you do to your Civic today? (II)

Ah, OK. My mind immediately went to something along the lines of thinking people were wanting to buy used strips to pass blood sugar tests for insurance purposes or something. I dunno. I think seeing the sticker on a gas pump automatically made me assume some kind of scam.
  19. What did you do to your Civic today? (II)

Off topic, but....Does anyone know what's with the "Cash for diabetic strips" thing? Lol.
  20. What did you do to your Civic today? (II)

Finally got around to scheduling an appt for the fuel pump recall, and for the A/C blowing warm air. The guy on the phone said there's a $150ish diagnostic fee for the A/C, but if it turns out to be the condenser, then the fee is waived (and the condenser and service is also free under warranty...
