My 2016 Civic touring is a complete rattletrap. It's got a great turbocharged engine with great mileage and great electronic goodies with a totally piece of s*** suspension and hardware parts inappropriately matched to the frame. This is my first Honda and it will be my last. Honda builds great...
Me too! High beam LED'S, LKA that makes trips a breeze (laser cruise, too). Super speakers, blah, blah, blah. The TOURING badging says "look out, boy racers...sport car in a sedan body with understated dual exhausts bringing 0 - 60 to 6.8 secs; smart buyer". Anyone who buys this car...
My early Touring has gaps where the rear bumper meets the fender. They will have to adjust it. Otherwise, this car is simply amazing especially for the price. Everytime I drive by any Accord on the road I feel I have more care than they do especially with all the bells and whistles and 0 to 60...
There are times when the turbo seems less powerful on hot days. Not by much but just not as sharp which I chalk up to intercooler inefficiency. That is to say it really doesn't cool the air as if it were on a nice chilly day. Results are that there are not a lot of jam-packed cool compression of...
Observations:
Econ mode is designed to get better gas mileage and will, especially around town where your pedal inputs are muted and thus " gas saving".
You will notice that the air conditioning fan speed slows in econ mode. Also, the compressor seems to be working less and taking longer to...
Thanks for Honda's need to overcompensate for bad rankings in recent years! What they have done is create a car that passes for an Accord looks like a sports car and cost $27,000 totally loaded with everything you could want except memory seats and Driver lumbar.
I'm 73 and I feel like 17 with...
I guess since I'm 72 and not a boy racer, turbo lag does not mean jack s*** to me. It is so modest when econ is off and in the low gear that it doesn't amount to a hill of beans.
This is the best car I've ever owned. It passes anything on the road with ease and does it at 42 MPG. Turbo lag...
B4 the Touring, I had a Suzuki Kizashi without the torque converter combined with the CVT and you couldn't used it to brake the car when backing up. You can with the Civic
That is not OK and should be fixed. There is a torque converter that kicks in at lower idle and when the revolutions become higher and the car moves forward, the torque converter locks up, it should
Sounds like you have a torque converter hi Revolution situation
It's no big deal. Put it in non econ mode and it will go faster quicker. Put the car in low and bring it all up all the way up to 70 miles per hour. Wow! This can turn into a screaming machine at the click of a lever.
On hot and humid days the turbos not quite so quick but, no big deal.
Remember, guys and gals, they rushed this car to Market. I've had some niggling problems but this car is really something despite all the little nits. Mileage, performance, electronic goodies handling blah blah blah. Just treat it like a girlfriend with a few defects. Going to marry her anyway.
Barring any accidents like y'all been talking about, these firestone's have been marvelous. Quite surprised out their gripping quality and their smoothness. So I'm not going to judge them quite yet.
It doesn't just "spool" it stays whining. It's the cooling fan coming on when the a/c system is on (left green light). Turn it all off with the hvac on/off button on the stack panel and...it goes away. It sucks.
Yuppers! The LED's are great at nite and the audio makes a big difference. The wheels a just a hint of black instead of the all black you see with boy racers about town.
Got a blue Touring and...even with the nit-picky problems (amp goes blank, rattle in subwooffer, learning curve on LKA and Avoidance system...all fixable) I can unequivocally say this is the best car I have ever owned or likely ever will (I am 72).
Guys (and gals) think of a car you dreamed of...
Here's my take.
My 2016 blue Touring has The wail of a far-off siren when I am at rest with the heating system on automatic.
If I turn the system off and on with the button the Wailing goes away and then comes back on when the button is on; it stops when the button is off.
Leave it on and...
