2017 Type R 24,000 ish miles Professionally built cage Suspension work, fairly extensive Hondata Awe track exhaust Up pipe, down pipe Race seat, no interior Cai Enkei wheels Never crashed, no real scratches, basically just a low mileage track day car. Clean Texas title. Not really interested...
  3. **** SOLD****Climate control panel to convert FK8 to knob controls

Out of curiousity, would you mind providing the p/n.
  4. OEM CTR seats

I can, but the only way I would is to palletize them, shrink wrap, and forklift onto a truck that I didnā€™t have to initiate the pick up for.
  5. OEM CTR seats

    Come get ā€˜em.
  6. Type R race build

Iā€™ll keep the instrument cluster for sure, and the stock steering wheel...which isnā€™t bad and not heavy when the airbag is out. Iā€™ll install the hvac controller which is light, but the radio head unit is not going back. It only controls the radio and cameras and doesnā€™t interface with the...
  7. Type R race build

As far as a running total, the car was 33 used, the cage was $5000, ignition and battery interrupt was $1200, Enkei TS7ā€™s were $900, suspension bits including swift rā€™s is roughly $2000. I figure when Iā€™m done Iā€™ll have $45,000 in it. It should be competitive. Iā€™ll get the car in the air on a...
  8. Type R race build

It weighed 2710 before the cage with all the stuff out of it and half tank. They used the heavy stuff on the beams that are required if the car goes 3001 or more, and the lighter everywhere else. So either way Iā€™m safe. The interior bits are really light considering, and since itā€™s a low mileage...
  9. Type R race build

The car is home. The cage is nice, welds look good, now time to paint it. Iā€™m going to install as much interior as possible with weight in mind. One of the problems with removing and unplugging things is all the warning lights that pop up on the dash. Airbag lights, steering failure, suspension...
  10. PEEFREE's Civic Type R FK8 Build thread - Track / Street

I saw in an earlier thread a few months ago that you ordered some AMR adjustable camber plates. Did you install them and if so whatā€™s the conclusion?
  11. Type R race build

The race shop is almost done with the cage. While they have it apart theyā€™re going to install the ignition kill switch.
  12. PEEFREE's Civic Type R FK8 Build thread - Track / Street

Post of picture a set of some worn tires, I'd like to see the wear pattern for reference. A set that is not staggered. My car is at a race shop for a month getting a legal cage, but when it gets back I'm going to have and bunch of camber dialed in as well as some toe. It doesn't look like, from...
  13. OEM CTR seats

Nice OEM seats out of ā€˜17 CTR. The car has 22,000 miles and the seats are nice. No stains, rips, kid funk...you could install them and not have to clean them. Make offer. I live in Texas.
  14. PEEFREE's Civic Type R FK8 Build thread - Track / Street

Since mine is a race car only, when the temps increase I intend to have some custom made radiators built and open up the area where the fog lights are. This is a complete waste of space. Iā€™ll keep the stock intercooler, install a more dense radiator, put some blankets on the turbo, ram vent the...
  15. PEEFREE's Civic Type R FK8 Build thread - Track / Street

Iā€™m running 255/40-18 RE71ā€™s and they rubbed the wheel liner so much that I removed the part it chewed up and a screw that was getting exposed. Are you rubbing at all? Thatā€™s look awefully close.
  16. PEEFREE's Civic Type R FK8 Build thread - Track / Street

My tires were rolling over a little indicating the need for much more camber, front and rear. But the car will be competitive in NASA and SCCA once properly setup...VERY competitive.
  17. PEEFREE's Civic Type R FK8 Build thread - Track / Street

If anyone is curious how to remove the steering lock, I can give detailed instructions. I did mine so the car still thinks itā€™s happening. Lord knows literally EVERY warning pops up on the dash, but a steering lock failure isnā€™t one of them.
