It seems to me that the brake hold acts on the rear brakes. So, I don't see how it can degrade the front rotors.

The original version, the N 1, has a threaded rod a little too long. It's easy to cut it from 6 to 8 mm. As for the clevis, you can use the one that come with the original Honda CMC and that's it.
