I think I hold the record for lowest mileage with
31342 km ( 19500 mi ) in over 52 months,
june 30, 2017 to present.
It's not on purpose, I am old and sick.
I am really disappointed with the 2022 version of the SI.
Already that they have remove the coupe from the range,
it will lack power against the compétition.
On top of that, Honda will make a few dollars, on each car,
by removing accessories, it's a shame.
My modified 2017 Si coupe that has...
The hobby-man post has stressed me out a bit.
I looked at my pressure plate to see the rivets,
since it is not yet installed. they are about 1 mm
lower than the contact surface of the P.P.
I received my kit 2 toward the end of November.
If the mechanic, when I go to have it installed,
finds...
The original version, the N 1, has a threaded rod
a little too long. It's easy to cut it from 6 to 8 mm.
As for the clevis, you can use the one that come
with the original Honda CMC and that's it.
Here it is, I received my Competition Stage 2 clutch.
It took 2 months but I am not disappointed, it's a nice quality.
And above all, the guys who have ridden it , Mooseyq, Masked...
say good things about it and I trust them.
As it's already winter here, and we are partially confined,
I'll have...
I hope you are right.
I can hear the whistling even with the radio on
at normal level.
It started around 20 000 km and I have the impression
that it is getting louder,
At the last oil change, I asked the Honda mechanic
to listen and he wrote on the invoice that there was whistling.
At the next...
I'm sure it's not Amsoil. If it's the bearings, I'd be surprised if you find debris, filings....
a few thousands of wear in the balls, that's enough to cause the sound.
I'll probably change the oil and we"ll see.
He is a mechanic that I trust and he is the one
who advises me not to open the gearbox.
For the moment, it is not yet unpleasant, but,
with time, I fear it will get worse.
I have only 28000km or about 17000 mi.
I have been using Amsoil for more than 2 years, I changed to 4000 mi.
I think they are bearings but I am advised not to open
the gearbox and change them because, afterwards, it would be worse.
This is my dilemma !
The pedal is still hard even after 15000km and the
engagement point is brutal because it is on 1 or 2 mm.
On tuesday, I went to RD Turbo in Montreal for adjusments.
Richard, the boss and excellent tuner, who drive hundreds
of cars a year, found my clutch impleasant and not very
user-friendly...
I am not a collector but I do own some nice
Swiss watches. The most sought after is an Omega
Speedmaster Professional chronometer that I bought in Geneva
in 1967 for about 100$.
NASA selected it to be the watch of astronauts who
went to the moon in 1969.
Today, it is worth a few thousands...
The guys convinced me that Competition
clutch is a good option and I just ordered
a Stage 2 with a 22 lb flywheel.
I may not get it installed right away but
it will be here when I am really sick of the
harshness of the FX 300.
To Masked,
After the runnind-in period, is the pedal still hard ?
Isn't the point of engagement too rough for city traffic ?
Thank you for answering me .
