I’ve been running a xdi pump, 1400cc injectors, drilled fuel line, and stock lpfp for over a year now on e30-e40 and the pump hasn’t shit the bed. So from my experience no it’s not required but that being said I’d still recommend you upgrade it

Titan7 already makes the stig spec ts-5 it’s 18x10.7 I’m running them now with a 285 100tw tire and they hook pretty good. The plan is to move to 305’s if I ever decide to make more power and the 285’s can’t keep up

Any drop in turbo can hit 500whp what matters more is how much fuel you have to supply it. Worry more about your fuel supply rather than what turbo you have
Like fatherpain said go back to the stock downpipe for inspection and then switch again when you’re home. I’ll add to this and say get titanium turbo studs because after removing the downpipe a few times the stock studs seize and break. I say this from experience be prepared with the studs in...
The only thing you’ll need a tune adjustment for is the check engine light you’ll get otherwise the car is gonna run just fine. Just hit up your tuner and send him a log after you put the downpipe on
