I live in Kansas City. Exceedingly rare, as this is basically corvette, challenger and mustang land. I have seen maybe one other Type R in the past 3 years.
As someone who has screwed up ankles I leave rev match on. I wish I could heel-and-toe but I really can't rotate my foot to hit both pedals at once.
Anyway, we live in a world of EVs and dual-clutch automatics. Take your advantages where you can get them unless you just want to have fun doing...
Looking for an OEM (or comparable) wing.. the black middle part. Not sure of the technical term here. I have a few chips in mine due to garage door incident and a bad case of dumbass.
Will pay shipping or if you're close enough, can pick it up. In Kansas City, Missouri.
I've done this. I just used some black sharpy to cover it up. There is no functional issues with this.
EDIT: I should read the previous replies rather than spamming the same bullshit over and over again. My bad.

I have a 2019 Type R. I also release the clutch in a fluid motion rather than all at once. I figured this was just the way it should be done. If you just let your foot off the clutch all at once you're going to get a nasty jerk due to the drivetrain / engine speed differences. In that scenario...
Oh absolutely. I see this a lot where I live. It's the middle of a city, and I know people who buy SUVs and huge trucks but never use them for their intended purposes. Just getting back and forth to work. IMO it's a terrible investment as gas prices are sure to keep rising and electric cars to...
Hey all. Some background: I recently purchased a Civic Type R which is my first manual car. I borrowed a 1999 ford escort for a few months to learn on, but it was worn to hell and back, meaning the clutch on it was very janky and hard to feel for.
My question is in regards to smoothly shifting...
As someone new to manual cars, I did find the Type R's shift nob to be too hot after getting out to my car after work. I bought a sun shade and that made it bearable.
Now though, as I am more comfortable with driving stick, it's not an issue. I realized that in my first few weeks of driving...
This thread made me feel quite a bit better about myself. I learned how to drive a manual car for the first time ever in my life this year because I wanted a Type R. Before learning I watched a shit load of YouTube videos on gearing, gear ratios, how it all works. And of course I learned the...
