My 2016 is out of warranty by five months. The A/C issue happened six weeks after and so I took it not to the dealership but to a local garage that everyone on my Nextdoor raves about and is way closer to my home. They couldn't find a leak but recharged the refrigerant and charged me $400(!!!)...
I actually asked the guy at the dealership why there wasn't a recall and he said, "how can they do a recall, there aren't any parts available."
I was able to get a recharge so that 4-5 weeks of cool should take me to when they have the parts back or else through the worst of the summer before...
This is an interesting idea. I didn't think to ask the dealership, "hey, if the condenser can't be a replaced for a month, how about you just recharge my refrigerant and let it slowly leak out so I can at least not die every time I step into my car?" I may call them tomorrow to ask. I mean, it...
I am now in this sad group. I bought out my lease as I had super low mileage and liked the car. Two months after the purchase (ie, the car was 38 months old and under 10k miles) on the first hot day of the season, the air blew hot. They couldn't find a leak but put dye in and recharged. This...
With my previous Civic lease, I was hit in a similar fashion but on the driver's door (I was parked and came back to find it). It was five weeks after I got the car and it was so disappointing, so you have my empathy.
When I leased the car, my dealer also told me something like what you are...
My salesguy had all the info about the car correct but essentially said anything else he thought it would take to get me to take the car. He was wrong about pretty much everything having to do with buying out my lease (I sold to a friend so both bought out the previous lease and took on a new...
I have the LX and it still has a volume knob! Very few times you get rewarded for paying less but this is one of the times that I was happy with a missing item in a lower trim.
For me it isn't so much easier to open as smoother to open. That is, the 2013 had a kind of crunch/pop as it opened and this one just kind of flows. But I haven't noticed less of a delay. It's possible, though!
Overall, everything about this one is just nicer, smoother, zippier. I did like the...
I literally always have music on, whether it's the radio or Bluetooth or the iPod. So I have no idea. But the items you describe are shown on the main display behind the steering wheel so I don't know that I'd need them in two places.
Interesting. I just did the same trade and haven't noticed a difference in the screen other than it's now in a position that is less in my line of sight. It may be that I use an iPod and so it still shows all the song data, the same as the 2013. In fact, there are now controls for "pause,"...
I do, but I prefer using the iPod, mostly because I use turn-by-turn directions and I don't like it interrupting the music every few seconds. This way, I have the music roll on while the voice speaks at the same time. But I also like the way it starts immediately, no 15-20 second lag.
I just ended a lease on a 2013 LX and started one on a 2016 LX a couple of weeks ago. I loved that car but love this one even more. So far there are just three things I like better about the 2013 than this one:
a. the missing USB in the center storage area. I know the higher trims have it but...
Here's an article about it:
https://consumerist.com/2016/04/06/honda-financial-services-really-sorry-they-double-billed-customers/
They say they will issue refunds and reimburse fees.
I feel like I dodged a bullet as I just ended one lease and began another so had no online payment this month.
