I used a P300-12 in my corolla wagon with a Kenwood HU that had selectable x-over slopes, and adjustable levels - it's bass-boost function made it sound bloated and boomy, but i did pretty good with bass-boost disabled..
It had enough power to overcome deck power on two front 4" coax's, but I...
A local autobody shop with a terrific reputation did some work this summer on my '16 ex-t, they removed the side skirts so they wouldn't have to mask them for painting the doors. It must have been a rush job or a beginner who replaced the side skits, because the forgot all of the push pins on...
I've owned my 2016 for a while now, I don't use or like any of the Honda-Sense stuff, ACC is to overbearing, CMBS has gone into error twice and required repair, (BCM replacement, fortunately on warranty - even though I see no value in it, I still needed to fix it to eliminate the nag lights...
I'm subscribing to this thread, I'd like to see how yours works out - from the Canadian perspective.
I've been waiting for one of the big three Head Unit manufactures to do something for the 10th gen civic, but I'm thinking they won't.
Does the Joying unit give up any necessary features that...
well I went ahead and did it anyway.
2008 SI wheels on a 2016 EX-t
I used 5mm spacers all the way around, needed them for brake caliper clearance
(car needs a wash, lol)
I put a couple of https://www.crutchfield.com/p_777B8PTD/Sound-Ordnance-B-8PTD.html?tp=114 in my EX-T, under my front seats, tapped off the front speakers. I DO NOT recommend these, they don't go very low at all, and have a huge 70 hz peak that I can't tame . One note wonder
I'm late to the party, but I thought I'd ask, do those of you who used 5mm spacers on the front have enough wheel stud length? I'm not fond of the 17" OEM EX-T wheels on my 2016, but I do have a spare set of 8th gen SI wheels, I'd rather put them on. Also, is there a 5mm hub-centric spacer...
There should be an "opt out" feature for this stuff across all trims. My LKAS has glitched, my ACC has glitched, my CMBS has been repaired/replaced twice on warranty and still shows diagnostic issues. None of these are options I use because they operate so goofy even when they do it correctly.
I keep forgetting that most 2DIN units don’t need to integrate their cameras with anything - simply tap off of the reverse light wire/back-up lights and good-to-go
I've seen mention of the backup camera being able to be disabled, does this unit have the ability to display the backup camera input on its own screen rather than passing it on to the double DIN head unit?
Your statements show a lot of integrity, can you tell me anything of the backlighting? Does it suit the existing lighting, does it dim with instrument panel lighting when asked to do so? I also dislike the slow boot-up time of my stack and HVAC controls. My OEM display is acting up/flickering...
it says it retains "most" of the features, but doesn't say what it tosses. I'm interested in this, I used a metra kit similar to swap out my HVAC panel in my 95 taurus with electronic climate control - it was excellent
I have a warranty claim in for a HU blanking out on occasion, and there's no replacement parts available... so I wait. Bt first, Honda wanted 40 dollars to update the firmware - who does that?
