  1. Cabin Air Filter Service for $80 (LOL)

My Honda dealer tried to charge me $95 Canadian for a cabin filter. I went to Amazon, spent $11, spent 5 minutes of time and did it myself. What a rip. I only go in for Warranty work because of this crap.
  2. Crazy to Prefer a Non-Si?

I got kids so Coupes are out of the question right away. And I just prefer the Hatchback Civic to the Sedan so much, that I couldn't bring myself to get a Si. Screw trunks, they're terrible. Also, I'm in Canada so the Sport Trim on my Hatchback was nicely loaded. I got an '18 Hatchback Sport...
  3. Problems with manual transmission on cold

Did you use the right amount of that LiquiMoly additive? Also, the product sheet for that stuff says it looses it's 'flow characteristics' at -20 degrees celcius. I'm in Ontario, and we get down below there. Maybe it's getting sludgy on those really cold days and causing issues? Though it should...
  4. Sport Hatch 6Mt

Just move to Canada. We got lots of HB's with the 6MT. Our Sport trim comes with the better infotainment, smart keys, and a moon roof too!
  5. Upgraded, my 16 Civic to a 2020 Civic Hatchback!

Nice! All those features and a moonroof are on the Canadian Sport trims since 2017, so I got that stuff too. Really love it. I donā€™t have any Honda sensing stuff, but I hear Iā€™m not missing much.
  6. Upgraded, my 16 Civic to a 2020 Civic Hatchback!

I drove 3 hours each way to get my ā€˜18 Sport Hatch with 6MT. So worth it. I spend a minimum of an hour a day in this car, so I was going to get exactly what I wanted.
  7. Moon roof and window visors?

I like the window visors I think, but the moon roof visor is too busy for me. The hatch is already busy enough, especially with that HFP roof spoiler, and the shark fin antenna, and the lower spoiler.
  8. CTR hatch install on a Sport Touring hatch

Nice! I like that because you did the whole hatch you get those top diffusers instead of the little top spoiler. The big wing looks better that way IMO, as it's too busy with the big wing, and the top, and the mid spoiler.
  9. How long does the car drive without the key inside?

That's right, they drive until you stop them. And it is because of the safety issue. Can't have someone's car shutting down on a busy street once they get too far from their keys laying on their driveway or whatever the case may be.
  10. Walnut Blasting

Oh jeez. Iā€™m not trying to get into the nitty gritty of who is qualified or whatever. Around here dealership mechanics are called Service Technicians. I'm just trying to say something pretty simple here, and you're recommending new equipment and now you're going into technician certifications...
  11. Walnut Blasting

Tech just means technician...not sure what the quotes and caps is supposed to imply. I guess I could get a borescope, but the point Iā€™m trying to make is this is pretty much a non-issue. Itā€™s not something I would ever bother looking at. To keep my resale value high I get the cars dealer...
  12. Walnut Blasting

If you're worried about carbon buildup in your DI engine, take a look at this AAA study which compared gasoline brands. They found that the detergent in 'Top Tier' brand gas leaves 16x less carbon deposits in your engine. They ran some test cars for 4000 miles on Top Tier brand vs other brands...
  13. How do you wash your Civic?

Yeah it is super weak. But l barely use it for leaves and towel drying a car is tried, true, and recommended by almost every car detailing resource.
  14. How do you wash your Civic?

I do have a small electric leaf blower, and I will blast it into the mirrors and around those small areas. Especially around the trunk of the hatchback, which will 'cry' for hours after a wash if I don't. I don't do the whole car like this though because it'll take forever. Very minimal risk of...
  15. They sold me the wrong tire! Are these ok?

Have them fix it. As others have said it's probably fine, but life will be easier with the right tires. Then your tires match your door jamb sticker, and you don't need to remember this little mix up 2 or 3 years later. Or when you blow a tire and go to buy a replacement. Also, someone else...
  16. New trunk

Can you take some other pictures of that light? Looks pretty cool...
  17. Is it possible to roll up the Windows without starting the engine?

I also wish it could be done remotely. I don't have a fob cover just so I can get my key out and do the windows up trick from the driver side door. I find it easier than getting in, putting the car in acc mode, and rolling them all up and closing the moon roof.
  18. How do you wash your Civic?

    1. Spray wheels with foaming wheel cleaner and let it sit. 2. Pressure wash wheels, glass, then car from top down. 3. Foam cannon the whole car. Let sit a couple minutes (in a shady spot). 4. Pressure wash rinse from top down. 5. Dirt Check - If the body or rims still look dirty I'll use a wash...
  19. SO - What's the single WORST feature of your Civicx?

I think the worst feature might be the separate volume for voice commands. I wasnā€™t aware of it, so I asked Siri for a song and then started cranking the volume up. I didnā€™t realize that when Siri is talking back, saying ā€œOk, now playing Go by Pearl Jamā€, and Iā€™m upping the volume itā€™s upping...
  20. How do you get into your Civic?

I slide in head first through the open window like a snake.
