I don't have plans to purchase this anytime soon, like you said no need for better manifold until you get to a point where the stock one is the bottleneck point. I am curious about the aftermarket intake manifolds though. I haven't seen many or any up until this year and or late last year. I do...
I thought the same thing and did some research to confirm it's existence lol yes it is real, and I am very excited to see more info and non-company tests on it
Does anyone know if the oem type r air box fit into the sport hatch? I'm replacing mine soon and my buddy has the sport hatch and was asking if it would fit his. Anyone know?
Lol its all good, and awesome, Ive been leaning towards the PRL because of the race maf anyway, I was more curious on the MAP due to catching wind of their rev 2 being somewhat similar in design and price to the street maf prl.
Yes, if it has the standard 3" 3 bolt flange, which it should because almost all type r exhausts run that flange. If you want ultimate confirmation, send off an email to MXP or the place/website that you are wanting to purchase the exhaust from.
This exhaust is not a true full 3" you can tell by the reducer right after the flange. As for the fitment, I believe our OEM front pipe has a standard 3" 3 bolt flange, which is typically what most aftermarket front pipes and aftermarket exhausts run too.
This is a thread on intakes, not for downpipes, but 4 bolts for turbo to dp. I havent heard of needing more than that, but if you did want to replace them all its:
4 turbo - dp
4 dp - fp
3 fp - exhaust
I'll wait till I have the hood and spoiler picked out before i do the mirrors, but I'll leave the interior pieces the red carbon since I wont be modding the interior
Yeah I bought this type r without even looking at it, so it was my surprise when it came fully loaded from the factory, HFP and all, even had plastic still on the inside in some spots. But, I would have opted not to get the red flash carbon, as you stated, you can't find any other carbon to...
If I were to buy carbon pieces aftermarket, they would also be true, real carbon. I agree entirely on the fitment though. For my "needs" of carbon, a carbon steering wheel is not worth the money lol the OEM one is fine for me, I'd love to carbon the fuck out of the car though like, doors, hood...
My type r came with the full HFP package, red flash carbon mirrors, spoiler, and interior pieces. How common or uncommon is this? Also I love carbon fiber, but with these pieces on there (exterior mostly) I dont have any options for carbon anything else. Should I take them off and go full...
