It definitely feels a bit different but it’s hard to tell why. There are just so many variables. I put about 2500 miles on the car with the stock wheels and tires, I didn’t like the ride on the terrible roads here in Michigan. I replaced them with Motegi 924s with with Michelin PS4s 255x35x19...
Thanks guys, they have worked out well. I was concerned about the big change in offset and going to all season tires might make the car too soft, but the changes aren’t nearly as drastic as I thought they might be. Pretty impressed with the DWS as well. All season tires have sure come a long...
I’m actually glad it worked out the way it did. The Freeforms were the first wheels that caught my eye when I bought the car. I just dismissed them because I didn’t think they would fit. I even called Konig last spring and the guy told me they wouldn’t. I was worried about the whole offset thing...
I decided to create a thread for these because I haven't been able to find any images of this size on a CTR. I originally went in to Discount Tire to order some Ampliforms in this same size. The Ampliforms were back ordered until late January. A rep at Konig suggested the Freeforms and I...
I think that it continues to get louder as it ages. It has also gotten noticeably louder as it gets colder outside. I’m still very happy with it. I think the catless would be a bit much for a daily driver, not to mention the negative effects on the environment. Have to admit that I am curious...
Thanks guys. I actually like the look and the offset of the ultraforms better, just love bronze on the CW. Plenty of good choices out there, just hard to find affordable bronze wheels with a higher offset.
Thanks for this. I am considering these for some winter wheels. Would like to see some side shots if you get a chance. Also would like to hear your thoughts about effects on steering/handling.
I installed the Spec L less than a week ago. It is just what I was looking for so far. Definitely one of the best aftermarket market exhausts I have heard on a turbo 4. Cold starts are pretty tame. It drones noticeably less than the stock exhaust. The sound is somewhere in the middle of deep and...
Thanks for all the responses. I think I’m pretty set on Spec L. I think it looks better than the legamax and prefer to save some weight if possible. I’ve been reading everything I can find and so far I can’t find anyone that isn’t happy with it. I’m coming from a GTI with a JB1 and a magnaflow...
I think the R attracts enough attention as it is. I find the older I get the more annoying the super loud exhausts get. I also think that having a really loud exhaust invites everyone to want to race at every stop light. I’m sure I will get some grief for this but the car isn’t really that fast...
I have started shopping for an exhaust and these two are on my short list. I’m 41 and don’t want anything too loud, no drone. I will be keeping the factory down pipe. Does anybody have any 1st hand experience with both of these? Thanks for any help.
