Should I mention that I tuned my 10th gen with ~25,000 miles when I trade it in? I reset back to stock after only 300 miles or so, thinking I'd wait until the engine warranty expired. Then probably upgrade the stock clutch, too. Now I'm itching to get the new 2022 version.
Is using a heat gun 100% necessary when installing the chrome delete? I park my car in a garage that doesn't have any electrical outlets I can use. I'm wondering if I need to go through the trouble to take it somewhere else to install it.
I saw AFR go as low as 10.8 or so in one set of logs I did, but I'm not sure if that corresponded to WOT. I assumed WOT would be indicated by a high TPS value. When AFR was 10.8, TPS wasn't that high.
Yeah, my post about common sense was just a joke. In another thread about a blown engine, I said it'd be nice to have a post like this. OP posted just about exactly what I posted here, but thankfully he went ahead and made this post anyway!
If that's done by clicking the Settings button (#5) in the link below, then there were values selected there when I enabled the onboard logging earlier. Guess I'll check to see if anything's been saved next time I take my laptop to my car...
I just re-read the documentation and missed the line spelling out that onboard logging is what I'm looking for. I was out at my car earlier and enabled that option by marking the checkbox. That's all that needs to happen, right?
I didn't see any logs available for download when I was done doing...
Checked some logs for the first time, inspired by this thread.
STFT spiked to ~18 at times, but LTFT was a pretty constant -3.13.
AFR of about 13 at WOT, 15 idling. It rose to 29.4 several times, but TPS was 0. I think I was either braking or completely stopped at the time. Nothing wrong with...
Is it possible to record logs without my laptop plugged in to the Ktuner via USB? I don't want to pay $25 for the Honda Hack, so bluetooth is out. Seems like running the cable to the laptop would be dangerous while driving around, so it'd be nice to drive around some, then hook the laptop up and...
But seriously, this post is great and full of useful information. Not all of it is obvious, either. This is the first place I'd read about the catalytic converter warm up mode, for instance, so thanks for including that.
I installed the TSP stage 1 tune a month or so ago but haven't checked the...
I think it'd be a good idea for someone (who's more knowledgeable than me) to compile a list of abuse to avoid, with or without mods. Things like no WOT at low RPM, avoid high boost in 5th and 6th gears, etc. As it is, you kind of have to search through hundreds and hundreds of threads to find...
Best bet for anyone new to tuning is to buy the Ktuner directly from TSP and get the Stage 1 tune bundled with it, along with free overnight shipping:
