I'm not sure how much, Is yours leaking?
I dont see how they cant see it on the car and by looking at the pictures the others have posted on here.
You should try a 3rd dealer
I'll load a pic, it's the axle going into something with bearings I think, but you can see the circular thing has a...
I got the passenger side axle shaft replaced 3 weeks ago, havent gotten a chance to see if makes the rubbing noise over speed humps when it's cold (below 32F) but when you take it to Honda. Take pics with your phone and print out this thread and show them, I was nice and said this may or may not...
YOU made a great choice, I've had mostly V8 Silverados in my past and one Sonic turbo. What no one seems to talk about it is exhaust sound. The civic sounds dull and is so quiet even straight piped.
Hyundia/kia turbos sound amazing. Especially after ditching mufflers. Sure my civic gets great...
Also I beat on it at least once a day with the cvt in sport mode and the paddles and havent had any issues. It did show a leak once but so far nothing more. Mustve been residual oil from the factory or super slow leak. But on my sport. No having real tire pressure monitoring sucks.
Also the...
If it helps peace of mind i use Blackstone labs too, I've sent them two samples so far since brand new one at 3k miles and one at 9k. Both have minimal gas in the oil. Its about $20 per test and you can pre pay online. Now I can use the full interval mileage. I figure soon ii'll do tests every...
Thanks! I had a truck before my sport hatch civic. I really wanted a WRX or impreza but needed a car with great mpg for my commute. That's really close mpg. Have fun with that boxer rumble for me!
THANK YOU!!!
so those two bolts you have circled. I went to tighten them, they weren't loose but not super tight. So I tightened them a bit more turned on the car and no rattle!
I'll have to see if the rattle comes back and try it again but wow thanks!!
Mine did this, and the service guy said to reset it 3 times in a row, or "re calibrate 3 times" and if it comes on again to bring it back, after he did that, it came on again I did the 3x calibrate and it went away for good, so might wanna try that a few times.
My engine shield pan had an oily substance leak in that same spot, but it wasn't thick like yours. and near the axle from the original poster, but they wiped it up and hasn't come back yet in 1500 miles.
