  1. Type R seats in Si

Did you have to swap the wiring harness from the FK7 stock seat to the Type R seat? Is it plug and play? Thanks!
  2. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

Just wondering, what power levels would warrant an upgrade in the gears?
  3. Gotta break in a new clutch, but I got a long highway drive today. What do you guys recommend?

Try to avoid being in boost while you're breaking in the clutch. Key is not glazing your clutch during break in.
  4. Gotta break in a new clutch, but I got a long highway drive today. What do you guys recommend?

Per exedy https://www.exedyusa.com/faq We recommend to allow 500 city mile or 1,000 highway miles for the break in period. During this period the vehicle should be driven easily with no high rpm shifting, no quick shifting, and no launching.
  5. RS-R Best*i Active Coilovers (FK8) help.

I had rigid collars installed on my FK7 hatch and never had it produce a suspicious squeaking sound. Either wasn't torqued down to spec, or also the collars wasn't installed at its proper positions and orientations in each area of the subframe?
  6. where to have clutch installed in New Jersey?

I would steer clear of DCH Honda Nanuet. I didn't have a pleasant experience pulling teeth to get a warranty fix when I used to own an accord. However this was over 10 years ago and I don't know how their service is now. I believe @s2kdriver80 referred to Hondaman, an independent shop in long...

  8. where to have clutch installed in New Jersey?

Just an update here: I stopped by slidewayz yesterday in NJ and the shop garage is currently closed. There were a bunch of usual JDM cars that I usually would see there are parked in front by the shop entrance. I'm not sure if the owner/mechanic had to step away for personal reasons. I tried to...

  10. 1.5T Clutch started slipping

Rv6 Flywheel + Stage 0 clutch, yes that's the correct kit. Also recommended is to purchase the PRL stainless steel clutch line for better clutch feel. What are your driving habits like? It's not wise to floor in 5th/6th gear being in boost as those are overdriven gears.
  11. Mileage dropped 30 to 23

When was the last time you replaced your engine air filter?
  12. Stock tire replacement in central NJ

Try Ivan's alignments in Cliffside Park, NJ. Owner works on performance cars. It's a little north from where you are.
  13. Is This Clutch Slip?

Be sure to break in and bed in the clutch properly after the install.
  14. best trim model for civic hatch (minus type r)

I respect it 👆. I think it's more of a personal long term concern when it came to false alarms or if the Honda sensing failed for some reason and considering the cost of replacement; less electronics hence the preference of the 2018 model year.
  15. best trim model for civic hatch (minus type r)

I personally like the 2018 hatch sport. I was looking into the 2019's when I was shopping around and I didn't want to deal with the Honda sensing and turning off the stupid collision mitigation braking system (CMBS) on each start. Yes, I was reading the owners manual before I even shopped for...
  16. RV6 Flywheel/Exedy Clutch Question

500 stop and go miles or 1000 highway miles. I usually shift under 3000rpm to be on the safe side. Drive like a grandma during the break in period. https://www.exedyusa.com/faq Per exedy: What is the recommended break in process for EXEDY OE Replacement Clutch Kit? We recommend to allow 500...
  17. Got my Ultra Racing lower rear bar and I don't have a clue

I second this also about the spoon rigid collars. The ride is definitely more taut and stable. Bumps feel less jarring about a 25% reduction. The steering also feels more firm and direct.
  18. 19 Hatch suspension upgrades

    Don't forget good performance tires.
  19. Factory strut replacement options

The bump stops on the spoon dampers are already cut as I was informed by GoTuning. They are meant for combined with their spoon lowering springs.
