We recommend to allow 500 city mile or 1,000 highway miles for the break in period. During this period the vehicle should be driven easily with no high rpm shifting, no quick shifting, and no launching.
I had rigid collars installed on my FK7 hatch and never had it produce a suspicious squeaking sound. Either wasn't torqued down to spec, or also the collars wasn't installed at its proper positions and orientations in each area of the subframe?
I would steer clear of DCH Honda Nanuet. I didn't have a pleasant experience pulling teeth to get a warranty fix when I used to own an accord. However this was over 10 years ago and I don't know how their service is now.
I believe @s2kdriver80 referred to Hondaman, an independent shop in long...
Just an update here: I stopped by slidewayz yesterday in NJ and the shop garage is currently closed. There were a bunch of usual JDM cars that I usually would see there are parked in front by the shop entrance. I'm not sure if the owner/mechanic had to step away for personal reasons. I tried to...
Rv6 Flywheel + Stage 0 clutch, yes that's the correct kit. Also recommended is to purchase the PRL stainless steel clutch line for better clutch feel.
What are your driving habits like? It's not wise to floor in 5th/6th gear being in boost as those are overdriven gears.
I respect it 👆. I think it's more of a personal long term concern when it came to false alarms or if the Honda sensing failed for some reason and considering the cost of replacement; less electronics hence the preference of the 2018 model year.
I personally like the 2018 hatch sport. I was looking into the 2019's when I was shopping around and I didn't want to deal with the Honda sensing and turning off the stupid collision mitigation braking system (CMBS) on each start. Yes, I was reading the owners manual before I even shopped for...
500 stop and go miles or 1000 highway miles. I usually shift under 3000rpm to be on the safe side. Drive like a grandma during the break in period.

I second this also about the spoon rigid collars. The ride is definitely more taut and stable. Bumps feel less jarring about a 25% reduction. The steering also feels more firm and direct.
