I'm on the TSP stage 1 map, that was on a long trip with very little variation in speed but I averaged 40 for the majority of it. I set the cruise and let it go. I do have the PRL stage 1 drop in. Not sure if that helps. I don't do alot of hwy driving but it seems to climb pretty fast as...
30 city/42 hwy. Thats off the instrument cluster not the infotainment. Alot better than the truck I came from getting 10 mpg. My commute to work is only 5 miles so I think the mpg is pretty good. Ktuned and I run 93 octane.
Not as of now, only been a few thousand miles but no signs so far. I'm running the level 2 map. Decided to stay away from level 3 for now as it's my daily. I don't beat on it often and I was only looking for a little more performance and a better driving experience from stock. On occasion...
Anything is possible with enough money. Your going to need a tuner, tuning time, turbo, internals and a clutch to start. That's a few thousand right there. Who knows what else can or can't handle that much power or becomes a limiting factor. If it's done right and it's reliable it won't be...
Most likely you popped it out of the u-joint type assembly on the end of the shaft from pulling on the control arm or wheel bearing assembly. Don't drive it like that. Put the car back on jack stands and you should be able to rock the axle shaft left/right. While doing that try to rotate it...
only one upgrade. ktuner with tsp stage 1. It will totally transform the car and you can take it back to stock in ten minutes when the lease is up. Other than that leave it stock.
If they are willing to correct it have them do it. Honda spec'd out that tire size for a reason. It may save you issues down the road if you ever need one tire replaced as some places won't work on a car that has tires different than oem.
meh....don't care for most of the changes.
Things I like:
new style rims, climate controls....yup that's it.
Things I don't like:
the new styling on the bumper honeycombs
the red stitching on the seats and the red accents on the dash
Neutral opinion:
LED headlights. I could take it or...
I have a '17 Si and noticed the same thing during some spirited driving and hard braking. Car drove normal after with no shake or pulsing during light braking. I believe it was either the abs or traction control kicking in. Any slip/loss of traction and the nannies kick in pretty quick with...
I got mine from PRL off amazon, same kit minus the breather tube. Only reason I could see to upgrade would be for more noise or with the CAI slight more power also. Drop in has been tested by PRL to show 5hp gains. The oem airbox flows air very well so unless you are going for all out power...
A proper intake system should not throw a code. People on the forum have all sorts of brands of SRI/CAI intakes and I haven't heard many issues. There is one system that seems to come up more than others and that is the ones from AEM. Some people seem to have no issues others have had issues...
2017 Civic Si
25k miles
19,200 OTD
They ended up making a mistake when posting the price so I pushed to have them honor it as an OTD price. It took pretty much all day but I ended up getting and just before signing I made them throw in the Weathertech's all around.
I notice it alot more at parking lot speeds. I just shift up to 3rd and putt putt along. Otherwise it's the same condition as you describe. I have noticed that putting it in sport mode eliminates alot of that. I chalk it up to the fueling/throttle mapping at low speeds. A tune should fix...
In my Si I have done the type R shifter base, weighted shift knob, acuity rocker upgrade, acuity centering spring, acuity base bushings and Amsoil Syncromesh fluid. Worlds of difference from stock. Before doing the shift knob and trans fluid the acuity upgrades actually felt more clunky than...
It sounds like I may be one of the lucky ones so far. I would say you definitely have an issue if you are not seeing a 30 to 40 degree difference in temp on max settings. Seems like a dealer visit may be in your future.
You should not be launching a FWD car with the wheels turned. I have seen instances where axles can be pulled from the transmission housings or where the knuckles will snap from the extreme angles. I hope you haven't done any permanent damage and the issue can be fixed.
