I'd imagine a 5th to Reverse Manual Shift is likely not something any of us want to experiment with :p Gonna Money shift right into the semi behind me!
I have the Tonic Yellow Color, According to the Dealership it was one of only two in all of New England currently registered (No idea if thats true or not, but hey, we'll go with it) so It gets a lot of attention, especially in Boston since I have yet to see another one here yet. and it does...
Honestly? I'd choose the Acuity cable shift linkage springs!
They really make shifting feel so much better and more solid, no more sponginess, no more crunchiness, just solid, smooth shifting. It really does feel like what Honda should have shipped it feeling like!
If you haven't gotten it, do...
18, good job, No family of my own, So far ive done KTuner, Acuity Shift Linkage Bushings, Soon to add PRL or 27Won CAI, Acuity Base Bushings and Rocker, and some new tires, and eventually down the line a turbo kit from either PRL or 27Won and the ProCivic Honeycomb mesh grill. Done a few...
Did my first ever carbon fiber vinyl wrap! I did it on the trim of my Si! Given that this was my first time ever doing a wrap, I'm really happy with how it turned out and that i got it on the first go!
I do have a job paying 5G+ a month haha. And I can always buy the car at the end of the lease which may be an option :) But you are right, its pretty awesome to drive in front of the girls :p:D Get you a girl who appreciates a civic!
Thanks guys  I agree, I should have probably financed to have something to show for it! But in the end you live and you learn :) We'll see how it ends up, but I really do appreciate the advice and i'll use it going forward! You guys made great points and it really means a lot to me that...
2 reasons. Mainly because I'm in university for the next 1-2 years and after that I don't know where life will take me.. I can still buy the car at the end of the lease if I choose to, so if life takes me that way, then that's great too. A lease did make more sense at the time too. The Finance...
I dont think you're being mean! My situations is just a bit different! and Unfortunately in Boston, insurance doesn't get much better than that at 18. Before the Si I was looking at Focus's, Fiestas, Corollas, etc and pretty much across the board (Even at base trims) my insurance was at minimum...
Yikes....
Lease: $350 a month
Insurance: $390 a month
Gas: $50 a month
Maint: TBD
Upgrades: Depends on the month :p
Total: $790 a month base cost
The lease is for 36 months, and they ran me MSRP because acquiring the Tonic Yellow Color was not an easy task..they had to grab it from a few...
Haha no problem man! Always happy to help, The benefit to keeping the lower airbox is less work you! The lower airbox on the Si can be difficult to take out unless you have small hands, wrench extensions or remove the skid plate so I always advocate for doing less work than necessary!
Yep meant SRI! Sorry! The MAPerf one is interesting because of where it sits, but I think it is likely better to go for the PRL SRI as it uses silicon tubing vs stainless steel which tends to affect IATs (At least according to some forum members). You can also keep the lower airbox in with the...
The only suggestion I have if you do not want to tune is going the route of the Cobra CAI by PRL with the Street MAF. Its a bit more expensive than the MAPerf one (10 or 20 dollars at most) but you wont require a tune at all as they kept the stock fuel trims and MAF size for the street version...
That is debatable, especially on a Turbocharged engine where the turbocharger heats the hell out of that air anyways before it even hits the engine, truth be told if we were worried about air temps that much an intercooler upgrade is probably more worthwhile. PRL stated they did not see any...
Cant comment much on the Sedan but I'm paying around 320 a month for 36 months 36k miles with 1000 down for my Si (Payed a little more on that per month because the Tonic Yellow Color I got it in they had to get from a dealership a few states over!) . Given that the Sedan Touring is around 2k...
Cant answer for OP...but I can tell you I'm thinking a Drop In-Turbo and FMIC (*Cough* Give us it in orange! *Cough*) from a certain orange themed company might be in the cards ;)
Here is the link, its sold out but for future reference: https://grfxp.myshopify.com/products/custom-brushed-steel-console-badges?variant=6802488950820
I'm 18 :headbang:. This is actually my first Car and I'm paying for it all myself too, so very excited!!! Before this I would just drive my Dads Mini Cooper Sport when I would come back from University (I Just finished my 2nd year, about to start 3rd), and I fell in love with Manual Transmission...
