  1. The most useless, annoying feature in the history of automotive technology

This. From what I’ve read, in the US at least, to have a feature that allows the windows to be rolled up remotely, there needs to be additional safety sensors to roll back down automatically if there is an obstruction like an arm or a head. And from what I’ve seen comparing the Canadian and...
  2. Cracked paint on hazard light button?

I intend to do that. I thanked this dealership at every opportunity and commented to the manager how professional and personable all of their employees were. They said they get a lot of people from the bad dealership and hear this a lot. If anyone lives in MA, check out the Westborough dealer. 11/10
  3. Cracked paint on hazard light button?

Got the button replaced today, looks a lot better. Thinking it might be from the 2019 model - it has a distinctly different feel to it.
  4. CarPlay and iOS 13

The external display support in CarPlay with iOS 13 (i.e. HUD, or DII in the civics) is awesome - although I highly doubt we’ll be able to use that. I’m sure Honda would have to do things on the back end to support that, and given how many feature updates we get (none), it looks like nav display...
  5. Cracked paint on hazard light button?

That’s interesting... I’m going to ask them if I can take a look at the button after they remove it. I’m assuming they’ll send it to Honda after (maybe? Hopefully? To diagnose what the heck happened so it doesn’t again)
  6. Cracked paint on hazard light button?

Found a dealer that’s happy to replace it under warranty, and no charge to look at it like the other place insisted. They agreed this is an odd situation, but one of them had seen this happen a while ago with an Accord. Just waiting for the part to come in to have the install scheduled
  7. Cracked paint on hazard light button?

Exactly, my thought was that the paint “melted” or at least softened in the heat, then once the AC was on it cooled down quickly and cracked. I’d assume they’d use a paint that could resist the heat of a car sitting in the sun, but I don’t know. It’s smudged because I put my finger on it to wipe...
  8. Cracked paint on hazard light button?

That’s my thought... my local dealer is widely hated for doing everything they can to rip people off. I’ve happily cancelled my appt with them after getting an offer from another dealer to take a look at it, no charge up front. I’ll post an update when that happens
  9. TSB for A/C "whining" noise?

Thank you!! I’m hoping I can convince the dealer that mine should also be covered... from what I’ve read (and please correct me if I’m wrong), FC1 is the 1.5 models, and I have a 2.0 EX Anyway, glad to see it was recognized!
  10. Cracked paint on hazard light button?

I was thinking about just wiping all the black/gray paint off. This is my first new car, so I was disappointed that in less than a year the interior is already falling apart. Was hoping for more, but it is an entry level car I guess.
  11. Cracked paint on hazard light button?

Yeah, the dealer I bought the car at charges a $127 diagnostic fee just to bring it in and have them look at it. They said “if” they determine it’s covered under warranty, it’ll be waived. Otherwise I have to pay that and the cost of the new part. Just scheduled service at another dealer who...
  12. TSB for A/C "whining" noise?

I have this same problem, and my dealer won’t even look at it without paying $127 diagnostic fee. If there’s a TSB I’d love to know about it as well. From what I’ve seen online and read here in the forums, this has been an issue since the 2016s, and those who have had it replaced ended up...
  13. Cracked paint on hazard light button?

Has this happened to anyone else? I didn’t realize that this was a red button with black paint over it (makes sense now that I think about it), until the other day when I noticed the paint cracked! I leave my car in the parking lot at work, where it obviously gets hot throughout the day with...
