Even if they found holes in the AC system or the condenser, they’d find a way to blame you for the problem which would not be covered under warranty.

Don’t think they care. If anything does happen, most will be out of warranty and for those who leased, will be when their lease matures.

Thanks for the link. I'd do this myself, however, it's way above what I'm comfortable with. Especially on a car that is under warranty and is a lease. Just can't wait to get rid of this car and be done with this petty bullshit as well.

Where did you order the condenser from? If I went ahead and changed it out myself, would the dealer refill the refrigerant under warranty?

Maybe I should seek another dealer and have them take a look at the condenser? But don’t want to pay another diagnostics fee for a car that is under warranty. Any ideas? Suggestions?

Let us know how it goes. Take a look at your condenser and see if there is there any round dark spots around.

From what I understand the dark spot is normal? Or is it a sign that Freon was leaked from that particular location? There is several other dark spots smaller in diameter. Makes sense. I have a few areas where the fins are bent but that’s to be expected. If my condenser can fail because of a rock or stone then where’s the intercooler complaints? Here’s a picture of how mine looks

What do you mean if it was rotten from one side? Do you have any pictures of how the condenser looks?

No but maybe I can get some help from other members. Not sure what other course of action to take from here on. Hopefully Honda will realize the design oversight and offer to replace condensers

Yes sir. Not sure if I should get it fixed now. We still have about 3 months of hot summer days left, however, the car is only driven 2-3 times a week. Not sure if it’s actually worth it at this point.

I called Honda USA right when I got to the dealer, they basically told me to I'm out of luck and have to pay the diagnostic fee. So now I'm here out of $150 and a non-working AC. Thanks Honda.
