I have officially upgraded!
Bought a Used 2020(600 miles) Type R in Black. At Norm Reeves Honda Cerritos.
I did not get the greatest deal. MSRP with wheel locks, truck tray, side molding, and security system included. But I think I did okay.
I guess the story was the guy didn't qualify with...
It consisted of tech package(I think wireless charging?), wheel locks, and shipping.
I backed out thinking I can wait for better and someone else bought according to him :(
haha not the end of the world for me though.
Yea that was what I was replaying in my head during the process. I had to turn them down because of it. Well guess i'll join the waiting game on getting it MSRP here in SoCal.
3K over MSRP at the Hollywood Honda Dealership. They said they could give me wheel locks and a cargo mat as included for the mark up. actually was tempted to go through with but my gut said not to pay over msrp. Only reason I was tempered is because all the other so cal dealers around me are...
Honda Hack is required to install the APK onto the head unit. You use a flash drive with the APK on the flash drive and connect it to your car. Then use the app installer to install the APK.
So I have used it for a few days now and I don’t think it’s worth it.
I believe it’s some sort of emulation of CarPlay through the application.
There is a little bit of lag and the connection doesn’t hold up for a long time.
Connecting it is cumbersome because it requires a WiFi connection...
Heads up as others have said before you can not install the APK on the head-unit without Honda Hack. I installed it today no problem. Just waiting on the device to finally ship.
I assume the door armrest for the Insight will not fit on the the Hatchback.
Also I have a EX, so is there a replacement for the cloth that is above the door armrest for cheap? haha.
