This write up is awesome - thanks for taking the time to catalog how to do this and sharing it!!
Any thoughts on what fittings you might try next or recommend that might not be as leak prone?
I daily on both 19” NSX 245/35 and 18x9.5 +45 Titan 7s on 265/35 (which I use as track wheels but usually too lazy to switch back to the NSXs lol) and don’t notice any significant difference regarding torque steer. If you’re serious about getting a track set, I’d recommend the 18x9.5 +45 without...
Fortunate to have multiple tracks within a 4 hour drive:
Circuit of the Americas - 45 mins
Harris Hill Raceway - 1 hour
MSR Cresson - 3 hours
MSR Houston - 3.5 hours
Eagles Canyon Raceway - 4 hours
My USR oil cooler came with a thermostatic sandwich plate, and the OEM Honda filter fits.
Typically oil gets filtered by traveling through the holes at the top of the filter and passes through the filter media. Filtered oil is returned through the center hole (where the filter is threaded to...
Another fellow NSX wheel owner here. No issues that I’ve noticed from mine, but have you tried spinning the wheels while the car is suspended on jack stands?
The dealer might - you’d have to ask to confirm. Same goes for pads. I’ve seen some people get their dealer to install lots of aftermarket stuff, and I’ve also experienced a dealer who wouldn’t do any anything that wasn’t an exact replacement part for the car.
You’ll definitely want to go...
If not tracking your vehicle the stock brakes are fine for daily use - there’s no point in upgrading them. If your car is 2017-2019 and you’re due for replacement, you can upgrade to the 2020-2021 rotors which are 2 piece blanks instead of drilled. You can order them online from any OEM Honda...
Just install at the track, nothing fancy. Easy to pull off the piece of the bumper covering the tow hook hole with a plastic trim removal tool and screw in the OEM tow hook.
Perrin mounts onto the crash bar (the side of it I think), and the Raceseng mounts using the bolts that are used to mount...
I just wanted to say thank you for sharing your build and knowledge/experience with us all! I definitely used your thread to help with installing my radiator and oil cooler this weekend. Don’t know if things would have gone as smoothly for me without them. :)
this is perfect, thank you @metal_driver! I saw that one you used after I pulled the fender liner off to give it a go at the hood release grommet, I’ll give that a try!
Hi everyone! I’m installing oil pressure and temp sensors, and was looking to see how folks have routed wiring through the firewall. I’m looking along the hood release cable and found it’s grommet, but was wondering if anyone else has found any solutions. Thanks in advance!
Yes, I haven’t used AIM myself but I think it works well. I haven’t had the best of luck with Harry’s, even with an external GPS so I tried out the Racebox as a cheaper alternative to AIM. Signal has been reliable at the tracks I’ve been to, and I like being able to view the data on my phone and...
Nice driving! Looks like you ran with EdgeAddicts right? I go to their CoTA events a few times a year but couldn’t make it this time.
What kind of set up do you have and do you have any cooling mods? When I was there in Oct I was definitely running into overheating issues even with the long back...
