There is no splicing involved. Its all plug & play. If i remember correctly, there were 3 pins on the Si seat & only 2 on the Type R seat. So you will have heater one loose. Connect the 2 & you should be good.
Yes it is. At first, i was having trouble bc previous Type R seat owner had taken everything off the seats so i had to put it back together.
But in hindsight, it was a basic swap of the seat rails & connect the pins & boom, lock in the seat to car.
No you actually sit much lower than stock Si seats. Driver side has the lever to lift or lower the seat. It was quite difficult at first to get out bc of the bolsters & bc they sit low.
I have Type R seats in my Si. I had to give up the heated seats function, but all good bc i never really used it.
all i did was use the Si seat rails & attached them to the Type R seats. Also connected all the pins for airbags. It’s pretty str8 forward.
FS: WedsSport SA-10R in 18x9.5 +38 offset in 5x114.3 fitted with a set of Falken Azenis FK510 in the 255/35/18 spec.
This is not a perfect & clean set as i daily my car, so there are minor chips from road debris & one wheel does have minor curb rash unfortunately. I tried my best to keep them...
