A manual sequential gearbox will always be faster than traditional automatic trans. As good as they make automatics, they will never be able to anticipate what inputs they are given. But imagine the cost of a good quality sequential gearbox. Probably worth more than the entire car.
Was driving through Salem, OR today, decided to get In-n-Out for lunch. Found a friend in the Target parking lot we parked next to while we ate. Owner was nowhere to be seen though.
Anybody who drives reckless within visible sight of another car should be strung up.
Police have nothing to do with it, and fear of them is the worst reason ever to justify actions.
Where in washington do you live? Theres a lot of places to stretch the cars legs between yakima and the tri cities. I go 100 daily on the on ramp and when i feel like going for a drive, 150 is pretty easy to hit (and sustain)
Welcome fellow Washingtonian!
You appear to have after market fog lights and a black thing attatched to your lower spoiler as well. Both questionable decisions imo, the stock fogs are fantastic, and that black extension thingy looks like it would take up half your rear visibility. Maybe its...
For me, i line up the bottom of my drivers side mirror with the top of the curb. This gives me about 3 to 6 inches of space between the front lip and the curb. Obviously my height and seat position factor into that, but the point is, find a reference point somewhere in your field of view that...
I cant understand what you are trying to say. Have you ever driven a performance car before? The Si engine is 3/4 the size of the R, there is a lot more boost on the R, the exhaust is a little angrier, all of these will contribute to the engine making more noise than the Si. Before 3k rpm, the...
I have been considering getting these exact rims. Not that you have done much in terms of cornering at high speeds and whatnot with winter tires on, but how does handling feel in them? I'm hesitant to get narrower wheels, but if you don't notice too much difference then I think I might pull the...
Tires will not have traction in colder temps, and they cost a lot to replace. Dont go full throttle in 1st gear. Your breaks will squeak and produce excessive amounts of dust.
Of course none of these are issues if you dont plan on leaving the car stock.
My dad was with me when picking up mine, and he told the salesman very matter of factly, "Since hes paying so much, your gunna give him that Type R hat as well, right?" So yeah, got a free hat and a few water bottles and a shirt. I learned a valuable lesson in new car purchasing that day.
Quite frankly, yes. As with all things, practice makes perfect. The more you practice and make tiny subconscious adjustments, the smoother all shifting will become. Eventually your body will be prepared for the jolt and will counteract it accordingly. You wont even notice it anymore but your...
Thats because the brake pads have rusted onto the rotors. Since both are bare metal, they rust rather quickly when wet. That thud sound is the rust breaking free and then will feel different until all the rust is scraped off.
