Talking DS wheels - I have two sets for sale.
One set of NSX wheels w/ brand new 265 Bridgestones on them ($2500/set + shipping from Seattle area), one set of now discontinued (I think, they're not on Tire Rack's website) OZ Racing Ultraleggera 19x8.5" +53 in black ($800 maybe? + shipping)...
It's on the chopping block for development, and the County said "hell no" to events most of last year (sounds like the events are capped at ~75 people even now, so the Tour & Pro are very iffy)
There are autocrossers who work for Bridgestone that have said the RS isn't coming to the states, and even if it did, it's slower... (more track-life focused)
Up here in Washington (state, that is) where it's cooler, damper and more asphalt-y I pulled the rear bar off. I only put it on for Crows Landing concrete goodness. That said, Garrett I know runs a bar on his car and we're in the same vicinity. So there are tons of variables - alignment...
LOL you just were afraid of the Hello Kitty skirt :P
Des and I were video challenged this past weekend - the latest SoloStorm update is making it difficult to get the GoPro to stay synched to the tablet. So, not sure we have anything....
Absolutely not legal on the strut tower brace under any circumstances in Street One sway bar is legal (either front or rear but not both). Might be worth perusing the rulebook, if it doesn't say you can, you can't!
This makes sense for RWD. You can use the benefits of each tire on whichever end of the car you need it to do good things - Yoks have great grip / straight line so the rear of a RWD is it's happy place. The Bridgestones turn sharp and are responsive, so great on the front of a RWD...
The new gearing is going to make it the suck. Perfect example, before the ND days in CS and also in STX, how many 2017+ FRS/BRZ/86s ran or run nationally? Not many. Why? Short gearing made shorter...
Between Becy #1 and Becy #2 I'm at combined ~42k miles, and other than my essentially driver induced track heat / trans / fuel issues, both cars have been pretty much issue free...
Yes, agreed, technically it would make a slight difference, it is a few more horsepowers, but it really isn't a "must have" mod is all I was trying to say. There are other cars where I'd argue it's a must-have, the Type R isn't one...
I ran my completely stock other than wheels/tires/cat-back exhaust car HARD at the Portland TTNT and couldn't get through a session without overheating the engine and trans, and they have massive fueling issues when running that hard (i.e., the high pressure fuel pump and rail can't keep up)...
I still have Becy, and will probably run her occasionally locally when I feel like playing and Des isn't at events. You'll have a STRONG competitor for Crows with Alex Muresan, though...
