I can attest to L having, at least, an RPM limit. I was headed up a hill in S, engine cranking, went to switch to D for no good reason but went the wrong way and hit L instead. Car beep beep beep'ed at me and RPM/throttle response didn't change. Put it right back into S no problem.
You can change the settings so the headlights turn off as soon as you exit the vehicle. Once they're off, they're off until you restart the car. Let us know if you have any trouble finding the setting.
While the car is running, the alternator is constantly recharging the battery. The extra load...
Connect your phone via Bluetooth and play a 60Hz test tone off YouTube.
Also, just an update on my previous post-- I had my Bazooka wired out of phase. I switched the wires and now it's amazing. I'm sure a smaller powered sub would be tighter and cleaner but for the amount of effort, going this...
So I didn't want to say anything until I actually tested it cause if it didn't work I was gonna feel pretty stupid... but I figured there might be enough power coming through the speaker wire to power a very efficient passive subwoofer box. I picked the Bazooka BT1214 'cause Crutchfield lists a...
Add me to the list also. I drive with my AC "on" all the time, even when heating the car, as it acts as a de-humidifier. I hear the noise when sitting at idle, and when I come to a stop. It might be happening as I drive too, but the noise is so faint, road noise probably would drown it out. My...
Does anyone know more about the Touring stock HU? I hear it has a different part number. Can anyone provide it? I'd be interested in learning more about it.
Can I ask a stupid question? Hooking the sub amp directly to the battery-- how does the sub know when the car is off and not to draw power? I've used home theater subs that auto shut off after a time of no signal, do car subs work the same way? Do we just trust that the auto-off feature will...
My car also does this. Usually it's just once or twice and then it's done, but today it thew an all out fit. I should have pulled out my phone to get a video to show a dealership, but I had a passenger and was embarrassed by it enough as was. I'm sure it'll do it again soon... >.<
Yeah but I don't like the idea of having to run a power wire and a separate amp... do we know how may RMS watts are coming through the speaker wire? Any chance of an aftermarket passive sub providing decent bass? (Not looking for anything crazy, just on par with stock system minus the rattle.)
Just wanted to put my name on the list here, bought my Civic Touring 3 weeks ago, noticed a pretty bad rattle right from the start. I find that a 60Hz test tone (easy to find on YouTube) makes the deck vibrate at just that right rattle frequency.
I've wedged some rubber in between the rear...
