I been following your thread on your fc2 for a while now. What you did and documented needs to be acknowledged cause a sub 2300lb 10th gen is freaking light. If you had a 1.5t you would have been a problem for a lot of cars lol. Best of luck with the new whips
Installing the seal is as simple as using the die to tap a new one in or the budget way is to use a socket the same diameter. They have lip seal pullers small enough for these but honestly the right picks, you can pull it out. I’ve seen the tek screw method with the slide hammer these lip seals...
This is true if you wanna just swap out the old housing for another assembled one. You can remove the seal and press in a new one without removing the plate itself.
If you don’t have a lot of miles sure skip it but if you have high mileage or your engine is getting up there, it’s not a terrible idea to do it. It would suck to have to separate the block and trans a year later or 20-30 k later. It’s realistically another 15-20 mins of work to swap it out once...
That’s about normal as far as play goes. It’s cable actuated. So there’s some play plus the shifter is plastic so it’s not going to feel like a gated lambo
Sport sedans and sport coupes are lower trims. Technically they are slotted above the lx and they are below the ex trims. Sport sedans/coupes are lx trims with some si looking features but without the performance and better parts, engine. Sport hatches are slotted about sport coupes/sedans
Looks like the seat pan or back pan is bent. You can either stip the seat down and order what ever you bent from Honda or pick one up from a junk yard, either to strip parts from to rebuild your current seat or if it’s in good condition you could just swap it in.
Doesn’t matter which piston you start with so long as that piston is tdc. All four valves will be closed and none of the lobes on the cam for that cylinder will be pressing the rollover rockers down. This is when you bust out your Valve adjustment tool or an offset 10mm wrench and a flat head...
Im more or less saying tiens are crappy for track purpose. If you want something that can handle some track duty then springs should suffice your needs. So long as your stock si dampeners are still good. Paired with a thicker rear sway bar, the car will turn in much better and won’t scrub the...
I’ve had the turn coilovers on another platform and they made my car handle worse. They are okay for replacements to blown suspension but a lousy choice for track driving in mind. The dampening is so soft that the weight transfer makes it hard to drive a car through its paces. Like 5-6/10ths of...
Different code. There was a guy who swapped an si cluster in a lower trim and he does coding so he was able to configure and make a lot of the features work. His posts is somewhere on the forum.
