Doesn't work that way. Type R is using the exact same HU hardware (and thus software) as all the other trims of that model year. Just because it's a special (ie, limited quantity) trim that's performance focused doesn't mean it'll get a better HU.
The 2019 model year finally brings back the...
You guys either don't know or seem to forget that the HU runs Android 4.4. That came out in 2013. And for better or worse, the Pandora app in the HU is optimized for that version.
Like other people have said, built-in features like that hardly get updated, and if they do, they're still not...
55k after 27 months.
I've dealt with everything everyone has said here except the brakes and the strut mount.
Still love it. The only thing that makes me want to get rid of it is the new Accord and the new Insight.
Android Auto is great as long as your phone can handle it. After all, the head unit is just a display for it. The phone runs everything.
I chose a Civic due to the fact it supports AA.
I use it daily and it is a must for me. If you don't use any of the music apps supported, use the...
60% GPM via Android Auto. Gotta love telling my car what to play.
20% Tidal via BT. I really dislike them for their lack of Android Auto support. Will ditch them the second Spotify rolls out official Hi-Fi audio support.
10% Sirius. Howard Stern and the metal stations. Yeah, they can be...
Got an 80 mile daily commute averaging 60-70MPH and after a year and almost 30k miles, finally hit 40MPG average.
I have hit 60+ instant MPG on days with no wind and no traffic.
Also, has anyone every gotten over 500 miles on their range? The most I got was 498 but even with increased average...
Holy hell. I thought I had it bad with an 80 mile RT commute.
Stopped keeping specific records but I get roughly 430 MPG and fill up weekly. 87 octane @ Costco.
Suction mounted. You just have to find the right spot for it to grab.
It even comes with a pad you can stick on to surfaces that the suction cup won't work on, too.
Excuse the slight blur. This was taken this morning on my way to work.
So what I did was install it upside-down so it leaves some actual storage space. I do have a big phone (LG V20) so I have to be careful when switching in/out of Park, but it's otherwise great.
