You said you've only been going off what the car says for MPG, but I'd really suggest manually calculating it. Fill the tank up all the way, reset your trip odometer, drive for at least half the tank (can be over the course of days/weeks), fill it all the way back up, then divide your miles by...
I've always wanted a Nissan GTR, but I think that's still pretty solidly out of my price range. My "realistic dream garage" at the moment is an F150 Lightning (for winter, dailying, and my dog) and an ND2 MX5 for fun+the track. Not sure if/when I'll trade my CTR in, but it won't be for several...
1300 seems a bit high. I had front bumper+hood PPF done for ~1200 and full body ceramic coat for ~850. And that included the prep of washing, stripping, detailing, and everything else before installing the PPF and ceramic. I'd shop around, cuz 1300 for just ceramic seems high.
I'm confused how this is enforced. I'm not leasing my car, but here's a hypothetical:
What's to stop me from getting a buyout quote myself, taking that to a rival dealer/carmax/etc, them giving me a check for that amount (or more), then me buying out my car and then signing it over to said...
I don't have any advice to give you personally, but I'm just surprised at the level of overheating you're getting. When I did my track days at Watkins Glen in June/July 2020, my car was completely stock with Michelin PS4S tires and Hawk HP+ pads. It was sunny both days with ambient temps around...
Blue is my favorite color, so that was probably my biggest bias.
I know this is controversial, but I don't like the Championship white... it looks like normal white that was left out in the sun for a long time and is now faded.
Black looks sick, but after my first car I promised myself I'd never...
with 50k I'd probably get the new Acura TLX Type-S. That feels like the next logical step up from the Type R. You're basically trading the 6 speed of the Type R for more comfort and refinement in the Acura, plus SH-AWD.
Like others have said... it's a civic, not an exotic car. I just got one of these generic seat covers off amazon and it works perfectly fine

My dog is a beagle/brittany spaniel mix, ~45 pounds...
I did 2 days back to back at Watkins Glen with PS4S's. It was ~90F ambient those days, but I'm a novice so I wasn't exactly going at the car's limit. I had the pressures high, around 30-32 cold which meant like 40+ hot. By the end of the second day I'd say the tires still had >50% life left...
if your pads aren't retracting all the way and it's happening on all 4 wheels, then maybe it's an issue with the brake fluid? have you tried bleeding them and/or doing a fluid flush? is the brake fluid reservoir adequately filled?
Like most everyone else has said, go full. You'll regret it otherwise.
However, $1800 seems incredibly steep for just the XPEL. For $2000 I got XPEL on full hood and front bumper, plus Ceramic Pro 9H on the entire car. XPEL alone was $1200 and Ceramic was $600, with tax making up the rest. So...
I can't say anything about the tinting, but I can vouch for Titan when it comes to PPF and Ceramic coating. I had them do it for my Type R and it came out amazing, the car looked better than new. And now ~6 months later it's still holding up great.
With that commute, why the hell are you DD your Type R??? That's what your Cruze should be for! You're putting a ton of miles on your R for what I assume is mostly highway driving. To each their own obviously, but that's crazy.
Seriously? I'm the troll? Look in the bottom left, the speed CLEARLY updates to 58. The dashcam speed updates slightly slower because it's GPS based, not speedometer based. So it says 58 after he's already shifted up, but he 100% peaked at 58mph. You can hear it bounce off the redline right as...
