    Hey folks. Still available.
  2. California FS: S2000 titanium shift knob and Acuity pedal bracket

The Si is gone and I'm selling off a few parts. All prices include Paypal fees and shipping in CONUS. 1. Honda S2000 titanium shift knob model #08U92-S2A-100. For me, this is the perfect weight, size, shape, finish, and look for a non-stock knob in the 10th-gen interior. Mint condition. If I...
  3. Saying goodbye...

Yup, I had one too -- a 2007. The 5-door looked cool and it was torquey but turned in like a pig. Sold it to buy my 8th Gen Si. All part of the cycle...
  4. Saying goodbye...

I seriously considered a 330i with the M package but the A3 narrowly won out...
  5. Saying goodbye...

I went with the A3 over a GTI (R and S3 too high strung for where I'm at) because of the interior. The Mk7 GTI is just okay (GLI is bleah) and the Mk8 is nuts with the touchscreens and sliders, but the A3 interior is exquisite to look at and touch. If you're into the Teutonic minimalism thing...
  6. Saying goodbye...

2020 Audi A3 Quattro. Quite a study in contrasts!
  7. Saying goodbye...

...to my Si and to CivicX.com. In my car ownership I tend to yo-yo between Japanese and German, manual and automatic, and when Carmax offered me $23,600 for my '19 Si sedan with 36k miles and in need of tires (I paid $23,500 new), I knew it was time to "yo" once more. Though I wasn't exactly a...
  8. Hold its Value

I just sold my 2019 Si sedan with 36k miles and bald tires to Carmax for $100 more than I paid new.
  9. Will this car challenge the Civic Si?

I find this a little disappointing. No update to the motor from the last generation, which was already soft power-wise. No LSD. And after going for the Korean Audi look with the prior model, they have succumbed to K-Pop weirdness here. I guess we'll have to wait for the N version for the good...
  10. Fuel pump recall issued for 2018-2019 Civic Hatchbacks and Type R

Aw man, was hoping this was for 2nd gear...
  11. 10th gen civic type r shifter

I installed the 18-19 CTR shifter and wish I had put in the new one. But it was still an upgrade, along with full Acuity parts.
  12. The Infamous 2nd Gear Crunch

Shifting slow is THE infallible cure. But who wants to do that? I'm not even talking about not slamming gears -- you have to shift slower than what a normal rhythm feels like. At least for the first 15-20 minutes.
  13. The Infamous 2nd Gear Crunch

My #1 condition for 1-2 crunches is when short-shifting while going uphill and everything not fully warmed up. There's a stoplight near my house, part of my daily commute, where it most often occurs. (CMC adjusted, full Acuity shifter goodies, Amsoil mtf.)
  14. Any progress on retrofitting adaptive sound control?

There had been some threads speculating about adding ASC from the 2020 Si to prior years. Any updates on that? Doable? Impossible? Asking for a friend.
  15. CTR RMM

Part # for the CTR RMM?
  16. Best intake for the sound

All SRIs sit high and pull air from the top of the engine bay. And of course as you get moving you start to draw cooler air. But the ad copy for this intake suggests cool-air benefits from retaining the lower part of the stock intake. I'm not seeing how that'd work, so I'm guessing this is...
  17. Best intake for the sound

Is that intake *really* appreciably cooler than a regular SRI? Or is it just marketing BS?
  18. Anybody running S2000 ti shift knob? -- UPDATE: now I am

I seem to recall seeing a pic online showing that they are identical or virtually identical in shape and size (but ti is heavier).
  19. Show me your aftermarket shift knob

    S2000 titanium knob:
