If you are not changing the maf sensor diameter, then no new tune is needed. The tune you are running now is fine.
Open air filter is fine. What's most important is having an aftermarket intercooler. A closed off air filter that has cooler air to it will work but you literally will only...
I couldn't agree with you more.
In the meantime, I was curious about the event you plan on going to (Famosa Raceway). It seems the high and low temps today (69F/49F today and 68F/48F on Sunday) will be very similar. The humidity will be a little more today then forecasted Sunday. If you wanted...
No need to just question it. Get a piece of something. Anything! And test before and after for yourself. Don't just take anyone's word for it. :)
People can say anything to sound convincing. Test and know!
I'm kinda out of the modding game since soccer mom Tesla Model 3 Performances and Kia...
No, it is not. 🙂 That down pipe will help off idle acceleration and turbo spool up IF the tune takes advantage of that. Other than that, don't bother with the frontpipe.
If you do not notice any damage or decrease in performance from using your air filter, simply clean and re-oil it. If there is damage to it and/or it becomes difficult to clean, replace it.

Notes:
I only ran one of two tunes that I have. The tune is not complete. Meaning, I was supposed to show results of these...
A sad day but this whole thread was a fun read. And very informative. Big thanks for sharing your changes and updates and keeping a thorough log of it all. I'll be referring back to this thread for a long time.
I would've followed in your footsteps in my 2015 Honda Fit had I not traded it...
I'll add one more. If you want to see what a maxed out Si Turbo can do with a manual tranny, look in the 1/4 thread at PRL Motorsports 13.1 second run. That's quicker (Not faster) than a Type R from point A to B. That was with an aggressive tuned lowend and ethanol, by Vit Tuning.
My 13.4...
Your stock turbo is THE best turbo for the lowend grunt you want. Not an aftermarket turbo.
You have an upgraded clutch to support what you are looking for. You may consider upgrading your rods but that is up for debate.
Focus on getting an aggressive/custom tune. What I mean by aggressive is...
Not really sorry. Been working a ton of overtime. Freak computer accident (Heat sink broke off where it connected to chip on motherboard) so I had another computer built from scratch while having parts delayed for delivery (No uploading/downloading Ktuner tunes). Also, was working on my two...
People say a lot of things. Where is the data? When they say the 'cvt can only handle', what do they mean? Is the cvt belt breaking? Or is it losing friction, like Hondata's CVT did?
Don't go by feeling or hearsay from someone. KNOW that it is quicker one way vs another. If you have a 1/4 mile testing device like a Dragy or perhaps the Torque Pro software on your phone, test your 0-60mph, 1/8th and 1/4 mile time and trap speeds. Or simply take it to a dragstrip one day and...

Well, to be slightly more transparent, I'm attaching a datalog of the [email protected] I ran. You can see I was running a peak of...
This is why we need you on these boards. Old guys like me have been busy telling everyone with a tiny ~~><~~ bit of doubt about tuning to just stay stock. :p Keep up the good work.
