  1. LX Hatchback MT Like Looking for Unicorns

I think every country in the world drives more manual transmission cars than the US. I'm not sure why we have such an addiction to automatics here. Maybe it has something to do with sitting in stop-and-go traffic in all major cities.
  2. LX Hatchback MT Like Looking for Unicorns

I live in WA state, so yes, close to Canada. Unfortunately, you cannot import a Canadian vehicle to the US unless the metric components (speedometer) are converted to standard. Also, any emissions that don't meet US standards must also be converted. I have distant family that used to be...
  3. LX Hatchback MT Like Looking for Unicorns

I think the riddle has been solved. I just visited Honda's website, and they are now showing that the 2019 LX is ONLY available with CVT. The only trim you can get with a 6-spd is the Sport. Unless Honda is willing to build me a custom LX with the manual transmission, they just lost a sale.

I can only see one problem with that theory. If Honda wanted buyers to upgrade to a sport hatch or Si model, why would they make the 1.5L Turbo standard equipment on the base model hatch? Maybe it is for buyers like me. If the LX hatch was only available with the 2.0, I might not even be looking...
  5. LX Hatchback MT Like Looking for Unicorns

That makes a lot of sense. I saw lots of LX sedans but no hatchbacks. I imagine I will see a lot of competition for the MT, and like almost everyone else, I don't want black . . . unless of course they drop the price another $1,000. I would consider the Sport, but price is an issue, and I don't...
  6. New Here? Introduce Yourself!

Just joined the forum from out here in WA State. With any luck, I will be buying my first Honda in the near future. Can't seem to find the exact model I want, but I already started that discussion on another thread. The new Civics look great, have plenty of power (with the 1.5L T), and get great...
  7. LX Hatchback MT Like Looking for Unicorns

New forum member here. I will be buying a new car within a couple months, and the decision comes down to a Civic LX hatchback or an Impreza 2.0i wagon. I can find the Impreza all over the place, but I have yet to find a single LX hatchback with manual transmission anywhere in the Pacific...
