I ordered mine when it first came out and it didn't have EPA numbers either.
  2. PRL Motorsports FK8 Civic Type-R High Volume

I didn’t spray it like crazy either. I just let it sit for an hour.
  3. PRL Motorsports FK8 Civic Type-R High Volume

I'm scared of using a head breaker. Too much torque. I just used a 1/2 in ratchet. I didn't want to use a big bar where allot of torque would be applied, Just let it soak for an hour and do small pulls on the ratchet. I would let it make a little squeak when loosening it and than tighten it...
  4. **Warning about Vivid Racing** Buyer Beware

I purchased a PRL Titanium inlet pipe from VividRacing recently and didn't have any issues. It was a direct transaction.
  5. PRL Motorsports FK8 Civic Type-R High Volume

The heat shield is only off on the picture to show the HF Cat. It is back on there but it does have to come off in order to get to the bolts and nuts.
  7. PRL Motorsports FK8 Civic Type-R High Volume

Luckily I didn't break anything. My plan was to let the bolts and studs Marinate for 24hrs and than got a little impatient and started it an hour after I sprayed them with PB Blaster. When I would loosen them I would slightly loosen than slightly tighten them. Sometimes they would make noises...
  8. PRL Motorsports FK8 Civic Type-R High Volume

I installed mine a day ago and it was a perfect fit. I see allot of comments saying it looks shorter but it isn't. I'm happy I waited and got this HF Cat versus the previous one. I did install all the OEM heat shields as I wanted a factory look to it. No check engine lights so far.

Been waiting for this since I first heard about it at the Homecoming. Just placed my order.
  10. Avg MPG on R

I calculate my MPG with a calculator instead of relying on the display and I'm averaging 25-26mpg with 40% Street 60% Highway but during winter I get less as I like to step on it.

  13. Are y'all's AC dying as often as mine is?

I have taken my Type R in 3 times already for the A/C going out.
  14. Civic Type R Owners: What do you do for a living?

Used Car Manager. Fun thing about my job is that I get to drive all the cool trade in's that we take in. I even like to compare them to mine like the VW Golf R.
  15. Spoon Springs Install DIY

You won't need a spring compressor for the rear. The rear pop out easy, just loosen up the lower control arm bolt closest to the wheel and the sway bar bolt and drop the control arm and you'll be able to pop it out. Just use a jack to put everything back together.

  18. Hondata + Brake Pad Maintenance Mode

Correct I've heard some people have ruined their calipers doing it and its around $200-300 to replace and with maintenance mode it retracts the caliper for you.
  19. Hondata + Brake Pad Maintenance Mode

So I know Hondata is a Tuning company for the ECU but I wonder if they would be able to add the Brake Pad Maintenance mode to retract the rear caliper for our Type R's instead of taking it all apart with tools and running into the chance of ruining the caliper. I would even be willing to pay a...
