  1. '04 Civic Tranny

The mods should be weeding out posts, not users. I remember posting in his thread about "turning this car into a monster". That was a bit different post being that it was all theoretical and generally just a discussion thread with no end in sight. This thread should have been a simple...
  2. '04 Civic Tranny

I seriously hate people bashing threads looking for info. Could he have googled it? sure! Could he also have come to a forum where he thinks there are people with experience and knowledge of the product he has questions about? sure! If you don't want to help him, DONT. Go find a thread you...
  3. 35 HP in 15 minutes? Really

A tune giving you that much power isn't out of the realm of possible. I'm a bit interested to see some more explanation on how it functions, it looks similar to the boostmax or other plug-and-play units...not a reflash of the ecu but a middleman device.
  4. What do you do for a living?

Depends what area you work in. At the plants? Yeah. Engineering buildings aren't so bad, lots of cool cars (Mazdaspeeds, brz/frs, subarus, volvos). Luckily, on top of my Hondas, I own two Fords to DD with hahaha
  5. Civic Type R hit the track in Japan

It's not; your post had no context and came out of left field.:coffee: You also made an identical post 1 minute apart in another thread. Getting that post count up?
  6. Flowmaster DBX muffler

This is hands down the best looking exhaust so far. Sounds nice and deep too. Good job
  7. Hondata Dyno testing of EX turbo

While that's true, they're all basically the same. If you have an inducer and exducer size that's identical, and you aren't using a fancy VGT, your limits will be similar. The generational improvements are often cost-related or improvements to cooling systems/ bearing tech. Basically it makes...
  8. Hondata Dyno testing of EX turbo

So i ran some basic calcs using the dyno above aaaand....I think the stock turbo is gonna be a roadblock for 200+ whp. Now, I was being conservative, but I think @ 18psi we could get around 185-190 whp. I don't think the stock turbo can go that high without pushing hot air based on some maps...
  9. Will Performance Upgrade/Modifications Void Warranty?

It's all about the tune and the torque I was just shown a dyno graph in this (http://www.civicx.com/threads/hondata-dyno-testing-of-ex-turbo.2050/page-3) thread indicating the stock tune floats around 11.4-11.6 A/F.
  10. Hondata Dyno testing of EX turbo

Has anyone posted A/F ratios for this yet? Just wanted to run some numbers using a TD03 flow map
  11. Hondata Dyno testing of EX turbo

I for one was too stupid to look there...:innocent: That makes more sense, but also sucks because it reinforces the idea that the stock turbo won't push too much more air
  12. Hondata Dyno testing of EX turbo

Till you got a nice Vitara setup going and stepped up to a HX35 or GT30 ;)
  13. Will Performance Upgrade/Modifications Void Warranty?

I was hoping for 18 at least, but oh well. Gotta go big or go moderately quick I guess :D
  14. Hondata Dyno testing of EX turbo

I'm going to guess it's a TD04...really need the inducer/exducer sizes but it's a really safe bet that it's around the same size due to the low torque peak and pull through the top end. 18 psi is probably pretty close to the limit, maybe a bit more, but I would think (based on past experience...
  15. Hondata Dyno testing of EX turbo

"Adding boost" or "turning boost up" is done through the component which limits it to 14 psi in the first place - the Wastegate. The wastegate limits the amount of exhaust that can flow to the turbine and spin the turbo. Traditional wastegates are regulated by a vaccum line and a spring. When...
  16. Hondata Dyno testing of EX turbo

psi for this turbo is not directly comparable to the psi from a GTI. The turbos (unless they are the same, but I doubt it) have different compressor Maps/ efficiency curves - 29 psi could be well out of reach for this turbo - the real number you want is CFM. That said, anyone got more info on...
  17. H&R Springs for 2016 Civic coming in 2 months time

Tell that to all the highschool/college kids with eBay no-name coilovers and/or lowering springs. Talk about wear and tear... If you want better handling from a simple spring change you want more rate. Lowering it could improve your CG/roll center but it's not going to be a mind-blowing...
  18. Will Performance Upgrade/Modifications Void Warranty?

If your engine blows up and there's no record on the ECU of the conditions in that time frame that could look mighty fishy :bat:
