Does anyone experience vibration during heavy acceleration? This may be something that developed over time and so I didn't notice it happening. I seem to remember the car accelerating beautifully smoothly at all speeds, but now there is definitely some shake in my seat and steering wheel during...
There was no deductible with either repair. You can make unlimited claims until the coverage amount runs out. They will sometimes send an inspector to decide whether or not a repair should be attempted or to replace the wheel outright depending on the damage.
Just started to notice mine looks like it's starting to separate. It's nothing major yet, I'll likely mention it to them next time I bring it in for an oil change.
Usually when buying a car you can skip on a lot of the extra coverages. My advice, don't skip the road hazard insurance, get the most premium coverage you can get to cover your tires and wheels
Roads suck in my state, I have $5000 worth of coverage and I I'm damn near to using all of it. One...
No, it only covered cosmetic damage to the wheel and only minor scuffs. I have a separate road hazard insurance that does cover chips and structural damage. Highly recommended, these wheels and tires ar fragile!
Basically like-new mileage with fairly unobtrusive mods, intake and exhaust are pretty standard fare (I'd check exactly which modes these are though). As others have said, an inspection may be in order just in case, and my god the exterior is horrific, I would have them pull the vinyl off...
Use the driver's side mirror as a reference. In my Type R I know that as soon as I can see my side mirror over the parking block I'm at perfect parking distance to not scrape up the front splitter. Your reference point may vary depending on your driving position, but next time you park exactly...
You might be hearing the front limited slip differential. You'll definitely experience it more on a cold day the first time you turn the wheels, there's a bit of friction to the slip part in limited slip until it warms up.
Just kind of depends. If you anticipate you may get more of it as time goes on you can get it fixed all at once as opposed to piecemeal it'll probably end up cheaper. I got wheel coverage when I financed and hugged a corner to tight and rashed up my rear right wheel pretty good, was able to...
Yup, finally got cold where I live and I hear this every time I start driving after letting it sit. Just the LSD locking up, nothing to worry about. And yeah, the stock tires are wonderful in the cold, spinning everywhere I go, even backing out of the driveway, haha.
I might be mistaken here, but it is to my understanding that the Type R's engine, like what they do with the NSX engine, is broken in at the factory so it's track ready day one. Still need to break in the brake pads, clutch all that, but the engine is good to go day one. I don't believe the...
The ratio going from 1st to 2nd means that the RPMs have to drop quite a ways before it's matching the wheel speed. If you have rev matching on, hold the clutch in with the stick in gate for second and watch the RPMs drop, you'll see it drop and then hang at the current wheel speed. The closer...
Buy an RF protective sleeve and keep your key(s) in it when not in use. Thieves have been using RF relay attacks to clone fob signals from long range and steal cars. It's a very targeted type of attack, but really the only kind you should be worried about, newer cars are pretty secure against...
Just the usual: Weather and UV rays. Wash your car often, get some tint and a good dash cover and save the interior from UV. Get a good paint sealant and UV protective coat (they'll probably offer you one at the dealer, Xylon it's called, they can do the interior too).
