If you look up fuel pump on the honda parts website they show an updated part number but it says unavailable. There is a nationwide backorder. Honda doesn’t have enough pumps manufactured to cover the millions of cars that must be replaced. You will get a letter from Honda when they have...
My clutch had gone, friction material completely separated from the rivets and debris got stuck in the throw out bearing causing a the pedal to stick. Pushing 40k on the type R retrofit now.
I think so? So for example let’s say the engine is expecting 10ml of fuel to give that 14.7:1 ratio. Increase the ethanol content and suddenly that 10ml of fuel is no longer burning through that volume of air, there is some air left over, so the engine detects a slight lean condition and adds...
The engine does adjust based on the ethanol content. Even if you don’t have an ethanol sensor, It just means you don’t have a tune to optimize it. Your tune is programmed to target certain AFR’s and expects a certain amount of fuel to meet that target. Depending on how much ethanol you use...
So it sounds like you are only seeing stock boost? Either you have a boost leak somewhere or you’re somehow still on the stock tune. Maybe try uploading the tune to your V2 and flashing from that? The last time I tried flashing from a laptop it had issues. Does it feel or sound any different...
Are you using a ktuner v2 or v1.2? Did you flash with a laptop and ktuner software or through the ktuner itself? Is your idle speed now 800 rpm instead of 720?
Give us more information. Model year, how you uploaded the tune, how many miles, first or second owner etc? Either the tune did not write to your ecu correctly (normally when there is an error, it goes into recovery mode and forces you back to stock), or there is some other issue. Can’t...
There is always some noise from slotted rotors. I only really hear mine (EBC slotted and dimpled in the front) when the windows are open. How loud/extreme is your noise? If there are no weird vibrations or grinding and it stops well I would say it’s a non issue.
Yeah, except
Yeah, I mean it was 18 hours before I drove it. The car didn’t run bad, and if I didn’t have tunerview on I may not have known any different, but fuel trims being that off can’t be great for the car. If it was a matter of the MAF getting damp, I could have taken it out and...
Hi All,
I am posting an issue that can be caused from washing your air filter and not allowing it to dry fully/a PSA on how long it actually takes to dry (I have the 27 Won intake).
Over the weekend I changed my oil and cleaned my air filter for the first time. I followed the instructions...
I mean honestly that looks like a pretty good rating. The climate complaints are probably the A/C condenser issues which have an extended warranty. Honda paint is thin and weak, which is a known issue. Cars aren’t made like they used to be. If you take care of these cars they will last long...
RV6 Type R Retrofit. There is another company doing a Type R retrofit as well that is new to the market, I think it is Action clutch.
I have the Rv6 one, allows you to run any type R clutch in your Si. So far it’s been great, 32k miles on mine.
What is your gas mileage? Has that changed recently? Occasionally I’ve had the gas pump auto shut off early, sometimes it happens after a car wash, I think because water goes down the drain hole below the fuel fill. It’s happened a couple other times randomly, but normally it’s obvious that...
Yeah, they lasted almost 100k, but I eventually failed inspection for the rear pads, ended up putting EBC rotors and pads all the way around. I am about at 120k now. I think I don’t use my brakes as much as a lot of people. I rarely brake hard.
I think the most I’ve ever put in was a bit over 11 gallons, the miles left had gone close to zero. I’ll never be doing that again, it’s not good to go that low. Fill up at a quarter tank.
