  1. How bad do these rotors look? 2017 LX Coupe

Thanks for your response, I just checked and both the rear and front rotors feel smooth (although the front ones feel smoother), and I haven't noticed any unusual vibrations or sounds or anything new while braking yet other than that one time I braked hard and triggered the warning lights. So...
  2. How bad do these rotors look? 2017 LX Coupe

I'm almost at 60k milage on my 2017 LX Coupe and it's still on the original brake pads and rotors, and recently while driving at highway speed I had to do a hard brake which caused 3 different dash lights to immediately light up. They went away after restarting the engine, but that's when I...
  3. Passenger Window Rattling When Rolled Down 50% on Coupe

I did have to try adjusting it several times in that crevice to find the most effective spot, and also since it makes the window open/close slower I did the same on both front doors to keep it symmetrical so the windows move at the same speed. But yeah I hope that helps!
  4. Passenger Window Rattling When Rolled Down 50% on Coupe

It holds up great! Basically just inserted long foam strips here (not my image, just a random one off Google) to maintain some light, constant pressure on the windows to reduce the rattling. There's enough of a gap to fit the foam strips so they are completely out of sight too.
  5. 2.0L RV6 Looking for 2.0L Downpipe BETA Testers

I think this will be my last update on this experiment assuming anyone's still following I wound up going back to the L-shaped defouler/spacer that originally came with the catted downpipe and installed it WITHOUT the huge hex nut and was able to go a whole 5 months between CELs (P0139...
  6. 2.0L RV6 Catless vs Catted Downpipe

I haven't posted any updates recently on my experimentation finding the best length spacer to avoid CEL with catted downpipe + aftermarket intake, but I did wind up with the same conclusion as you did with the original L-spacer providing the best results at minimizing CEL. I did recently...
  7. 2.0L RV6 Looking for 2.0L Downpipe BETA Testers

So I haven't posted any updates between my last update and now since I didn't really have anything new to report, but I've been continuing to work on figuring out the sweet spot in spacing between P0139 and P0420, and after >2 years at this I think I finally found it. Unfortunately, I am...
  8. Failed inspection due to metal label on RV6 Downpipe- how to remove?

The shape of the downpipes are different enough as to where it would require a custom fabricated mount to attach between the rv6 downpipe and the OEM heat shield since the rv6 downpipe has a smaller profile than OEM downpipe
  9. I can't possibly be the only person whose failed inspection due to sticker on RV6 downpipe

I did select to add the black coating when I ordered the downpipe, think that should precent that?
  10. I can't possibly be the only person whose failed inspection due to sticker on RV6 downpipe

So I wound up taking a day off work to remove the RV6 and out the factory downpipe back on to get it reinspected which was a PITA, but I did add a wrap to the RV6 so hopefully this won't be an issue next year when I get it inspected somewhere else.
  11. Failed inspection due to metal label on RV6 Downpipe- how to remove?

So I wound up taking a day off work to remove the RV6 and out the factory downpipe back on to get it reinspected which was a PITA, but I did add a wrap to the RV6 so hopefully this won't be an issue next year when I get it inspected somewhere else. Well damn, I certainly hope so lol...
  12. I can't possibly be the only person whose failed inspection due to sticker on RV6 downpipe

Sharing this here for visibility, I failed VA state inspection due to the sticker on the RV6 downpipe that says "for off-road use only" and the sticker is like made of metal so I can't just simply peel it off. Please tell me someone here knows how to remove it since I can't possibly be the only...
  13. Failed inspection due to metal label on RV6 Downpipe- how to remove?

Failed VA state inspection due to the sticker on the RV6 Downpipe clearly saying "for off road use only". Does anyone know how to remove it? No luck trying to scrape it off with a knife, it seems like it's made of metal or something.
  14. 2.0L CivicX 2.0L Tuning - BIG Gains Confirmed For The Second Time

Thanks for the offer. If your car also has an AEM Intake and Catted Downpipe then I will definitely take you up on that! Thanks for the info! Hmm, that does seem significantly more involved than I was expecting, and considering I have no idea what many of those terms mean it looks like I have...
  15. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

Sorry, unfortunately I have no idea on that. It was an update from KTuner about a year ago which they updated it to lower the VTEC to 5300. I would expect KTuner did all the work of making sure their tune safe for the car.

  17. 2.0L CivicX 2.0L Tuning - BIG Gains Confirmed For The Second Time

Thanks for your well-written response, I'll admit I have no idea what Knock Control Value and Knock Count are being that my only experience with tuning is simply just uploading the KTuner to my car with the throttle response set to 2, but will take a look at that thread. I do have an AEM Intake...
  18. 2.0L CivicX 2.0L Tuning - BIG Gains Confirmed For The Second Time

Agreed, I wish I knew what "make sure you adjust the vtc high/low intake cam angles appropriately as well" meant. Would it be the same for all 2.0's? Or something we need to figure out that's unique to our cars?
  19. 2.0L RV6 Looking for 2.0L Downpipe BETA Testers

Immediately after my previous update the P0420 light up again and I must've forgotton to post an update, but I removed the crush washer between the downpipe and the extra short spacer and it took 2 months for it to flag the P0420 again without using any of the washers. Occurred after it had...
  20. Passenger Window Rattling When Rolled Down 50% on Coupe

SOLVED: Got a longish strip of closed cell foam tape, cut it in half lengthwise, stuck the sticky sides of the long thin strips together, and tucked it inside the interior side of the weatherstripping to maintain enough pressure against the window to prevent the rattling. Did the same thing on...
