Did you ever get this figured out? I have an extra back of the headunit, it just needs a screen. I bought a screen and it came with it. I broke my screen and just needed the screen. I've never actually tested to see if it works.
UPDATE:
Previously, I mentioned a product that converts analog signal from aftermarket radios to to digital. I had heard of the product, but didn’t do much research.
The signal from the radio in our cars to the factory amplifier, is digital. That’s one of the biggest issues these companies...
For an aftermarket like that, this kit won’t be necessary. There is a product that’ll take a normal aftermarket and give it an optical out, but I’m working and don’t know what it’s called.
With the current head unit, all nav and warnings come out of the center speaker. The nav and stuff won’t matter, because the new head unit will put it in the front channel. As far as other chimes go I’m not sure. The only chimes I know of are when someone in the front doesn’t have their seatbelt...
I believe it is just referred to in the install world as an LX-P, and on metra's website it lists a different harness and stuff. It may use the kit I posted, but yeah, somebody will just have to be brave enough to give it a shot.
The W650 is a great unit. Have you checked if there were any firmware updates that maybe improved android connectivity?
The guide also mentions another part necessary for amp integration, but I’m so glad they got it down. For my (subwoofer only) amp, I’ll probably leave it high level input, but...
Same! I’m hoping Five Star does something on it, they’ve worked on plenty of civics. I’m just a little wary of metra, but hey, if it works it works. I’ll more than likely be buying it in about a year or so, maybe sooner. We’ll see haha
I apologize if this has already been discussed here. I did a quick search and didn't find anything, please delete if need be.
If this kit works, it's a game changer. Maybe the other companies will finally kick it into gear now that they'll be losing money. The only company that directly...
All vehicle settings previously on the radio display are now on the new display. This is stated within the instructions. You also do have the ability to change the backup camera view angles. The heated seat function is also swapped to the little display.
For anybody who doesn't wanna click the link.
Essentially, it's a radio kit that has the dash kit integrated with a custom climate control interface. Sometimes, it's the best we can get. I still don't think that will be the case for our cars, but ADSMaestro is being a bunch of slackers.
I'll be honest, it's not the best looking IMO, and I personally haven't tried it as I don't currently install. Metra kits in the past have been hit or miss! Although, when they do work it's nice. It's also STUPID expensive.

the pac ones are nice, especially the new ones. Metra’s always trash, but sometimes they’re the only option. Also, the pac double din kits are usually the best available unless there’s a maestro one which is rare. They usually only do smart harnesses but it depends on the car, and even then...
Oh and before you say anything about how it’s just PAC I’m posting here’s metra’s stupid version the Honda Accord kit which even lets you change the color of the stupid little screen
Oh look, I found a kit that matches the gloss on the upper trim level radios! It’s almost as if the companies are anticipating for when a majority of people want/need it, and not just when people like us who like cool expensive shit
