  1. New Jersey WTS: South Jersey FK8 and DE5 stock parts.

Everything still for sale, just want this stuff gone.
  2. New Jersey WTS: South Jersey FK8 and DE5 stock parts.

Hey all, My FK8 was unfortunately totaled a month ago and I picked up a DE5. Before I toss any of this, I have some stuff I want out of my garage. Local pickup gets preference and discount over any shipping. All FK8 parts were less than 10k miles on them when I went aftermarket. All prices do...
  3. Type R clutch upgrade

Interesting. I'll look into it. Thanks. Any other recommended research into this topic don't hesitate to share.
  4. Type R clutch upgrade

Yeah, it's honestly making me just wanna eat the loss on the tune, turn it back to stock and trade the car in and get something else (while the used market is stupidly inflated). I didn't really want to drop another 2k on it when everyone seems to be fine but me. Can you share some more insight...
  5. Type R clutch upgrade

Car definitely doesn't make that much torque lol and you can see it slipping at peak torque and high rpm.
  6. Stock Dyno Pulls

Didn't have a stock baseline, but PRL HVI, Mishi IC w/ Pipes, and GRP catted DP put down 305whp and 315wtq on a dynpack. After 93 tune, we saw ~ 365whp and 380wtq, but clutch was slipping after 4 pulls on the dyno.
  7. Type R clutch upgrade

Just got mine tuned by DRob @ IMW and my clutch is slipping at 370-380wtq. 28k miles. I have been driving manual for 15 years so it *shouldn't* be me, am I just unlucky on the durability? Probably gonna go Exedy stage 1, anyone in the south jersey area wanna install it for me. If anyone has a...
  8. Sweidit OEM+ Interior Upgrades

I feel terrible saying this, but imitation is the best compliment. This is exactly what I would love to do with my interior. Exact same setup. I'm just not skilled enough to do it and no idea who I could trust to pay to do it.
  9. Civic Type R After-market Wheel Guide

No rubbing with some passengers (1-2 and some stuff in trunk). The swap was uneventful except for the fact that the stock lug nuts DO NOT work with these wheels. You will need splined lugnuts so order them in advance, don't be like me running around to every single auto parts store because half...
  10. Civic Type R After-market Wheel Guide

Finally got a few pictures of the new wheels. Rays 57DR 18x9.5 +38 in HS Gunmetallic with 255/40/18 Continental ExtremeSports on stock suspension.
  11. Civic Type R After-market Wheel Guide

I went with the HS Gunmetallic in 18x9.5 ET38's with 255/40/18 Continental ExtremeContact Sports. I'm on stock suspension with no rubbing lock to lock with some passengers (1-2).
  12. Hondata code suppression and emissions

NJ requires 100% readiness monitors set to pass at a state facility. I've HEARD rumors that a PIF (private inspection facility) can pass you with one not showing, but 99% of the time, when one of my emissions related readiness' failed to set, there was more than one failing, thus even a PIF...
  13. Hondata code suppression and emissions

If that is true that is great news, but I am curious how you showed full readiness without completing the drive cycle. It's 100% possible that Honda's methods are different than Nissan or that technology has improved in the last 6 years or so since I've had to deal with emissions in a modded...
  14. Hondata code suppression and emissions

That doesn't work if you have aftermarket parts most likely as they'll throw codes long before you're able to complete the drive cycle. This is inaccurate. If you disable any codes, it will prevent the readiness monitor from setting 100% of the time, thus causing a fail. In my turbo nissan...
  15. Rockingham Auto Drops Insurance on Type R

Same - $353 every 6 months, or $706 annually. Full Coverage. Don't know if they cover aftermarket stuff, doesn't seem necessary for me.
  16. ▀▄ System Motorsports || Rays Gramlights 57DR - 18x9.5 +38 5x120 Gallery for FK8 Civic Type R

While I prefer the CR instead of the DR, it's a pretty solid deal. Are there any pictures of the HS Gunmetal on a white type r? Include Bronze and Gold if you have it too. Going to need to pull the trigger sooner than later on a set of wheels/tires.
  17. Ebay Grill Link Here - Beat Overheating or Just for Looks

Definitely interested to see how this shakes out. I'd love to get this grille and still maintain the stock H logo there (not completely open). If it's doable I'm in (and I don't want to spend $1k to do it).
  18. PRL Catted Downpipe and Full Exhaust = Confirmed Passed Emissions (in PA)

OBD2 inspection (here in NJ, and I'm fairly sure we're the same as PA as of a few years ago) involves plugging in your console and checking to see if the readiness monitors are set. It's very common that most tunes disabled some of these (typically around cat performance), which will cause you...
  19. PRL Catted Downpipe and Full Exhaust = Confirmed Passed Emissions (in PA)

Did they set your readiness monitors for you at the dealership after reflashing or did you do the cycle yourself? Why did you reflash back to stock? What prevented you from passing on the tune? Curious - as someone who lives in NJ and has the same concerns with modding and passing emissions. I...
