There's just too big of a gap between Si and Type R, which is a shame because this was Honda's golden opportunity to fill that void with this model.
Overall the Si seems to be a great car for what it's worth. I just think people will appreciate it more once they start ranking it closer to...
Why would anyone expect less for the Si just because the regular civic got an upgrade? That doesn't even make logical sense. The Si is in the sport compact class. The regular Civic isn't. Maybe Honda should have put an *Si variation excluded, from their class leading statement.
"Honda claims this is the biggest complete redesign the Civic has ever received. The goal with the 10th generation car is to recapture some of the sporty character the Civic used to be known for, but was lacking in the last generation. The news under the skin is just as dramatic as the car’s new...
Good choice. I got a 2016 GTI Autobahn last year after waiting forever for Honda to release info on the Si and told myself I'd trade it in if Honda delivered on the Si.
Needless to say I wont be trading it in.
My biggest beef is that Honda has been hyping up this Civic to be the baddest boy on the block. They were saying that this generation would finally be the one to take Civic to the next level...except it didn't. The Si is DOA as far as I'm concerned, not because it'll be a bad car, but because...
Not bad!
My old car broke down while waiting for the Si so I went with the GTI and I freaking love that car so I can't say I'm disappointed, but, as long as they give the Si decent HP, lighting options, and a spoiler it should be pretty solid!
Not a huge fan of the exhaust for some reason like...
I gotta agree with Pills here.
I live in the Northeast and I seriously considered an AWD for the exact reasons. However, if I needed an AWD car I would definitely go with the Golf R if i were trying to compare it to the CTR. I don't like the ride of the STI nor the interior. Not sure what you...
I agree with your disagreement.
The 1.5 is already putting out almost 17 psi of boost. For the Si to remain a 1.5 and compete against VW and Ford models you would have to push the 1.5 to the absolute limits and from a reliability perspective that's just reckless. The 2.0 is the only realistic...
That definitely sounds like overcranking to me. I might be able to understand if Honda intentionally programmed the starter to do this on a cold start but the fact it does it from a warm start is really confusing.
You can be a Honda enthusiast but not a Honda loyalist. I've owned 1 Civic and 2 VW's in my life. I still have my Passat but no longer have my Civic.
If the new Si were to come out in a month or two I would pick it over the GTI in a heartbeat, but when a car is rumored to come out mid 2016, then...
It's true it doesn't 100% prove that the 2.0T will go into the SI, but I see absolutely no reason Honda would start mass production of the 2.0T in March 2016 for a car that wont be produced until sometime 2017 (Type R). Let alone the fact that the Type R will be so limited, a mass production so...
The engine is definitely being produced March 2016 and not March 2017.
The 1.5 is already out, leaving just the 1.0 and 2.0 to be produced in 2016.
That being the case, a spring 2017 launch would make absolutely no sense unless they plan on sitting on these engines for months. My guess is a...
