2018 Civic HB 1.5T 73K approx Had an oil change done at a shop a few thousand miles ago and it seems like then I started to smell exhaust in the cabin when in stop and go traffic or coming to a stop light and then accelerating.
Long story short, I read I think here that it could be caused...
Wonderful....took a look at the condenser and I don't see any obvious damage...I mean car is 2 years old and almost all highway travel so some bent fins but nothing major like holes or anything.
I imagine they have to rip the front bumper off to do any work on the condenser (as in replacing)...
So on the drive home today, I decided to kick the AC on. The AC issue appears to have finally caught up with my car. Just under 66K on the clock and air coming from the drivers vent is reg temp and passenger side slightly cooler.
Called Honda Care to verify what is covered under my extended...
I put a tank of 93 in my EX HB last fill and I've noticed a difference in power. Engine seems a bit smoother under acceleration as well.
This is after just about 39K on 87.
I think I'm going to continue to fill with the Premium for next couple of times.
And this is why you need to pay attention to simple math in school kids......duh....That's exactly what it is....for some reason I had the 5 quart jug on my mind when I was dumping the oil...doh
My apologies to the jack-holes at the dealership as apparently I am King of the Jack-holes...
As the title says, I got the Oil dilution TSB done a few months ago. I drive 100 miles a day minimum so the miles rack up quickly. Other than the factory fill I have done all my own oil changes except for this one. On all my changes (Pennz Plat and M1 Extended) I have stuck with 0W20 with no...
I'm at 32K and the stock Conti's have cupped and are roaring pretty loudly now.
I'm looking for a quieter and perhaps smoother tire as these ones seemed to crap the bed fairly quickly.
Considering the Michelin Premiers, Yoko Avids, Pirelli P7's and even the Goodyear Comfortreads
Not too...
32K on mine since last August. Not a whole of things to complain about. I like the mpg (100 miles per day r/t commute). Seats could be a little more comfortable and the road noise in the car is pretty pronounced compared to other cars I've owned . I'm about to by new tires as the stock...
Aha...ok the wording is deceptive. Something about a check engine light might come on if you don't get this update performed...odd
My car seems to running fine and oil levels seem in check even with the idling i do with the remote start. Not sure if I want the dealer breaking other things...
Does this recall come in the mail saying Recall on the envelope or PRODUCT ADVISORY?
I can tell through Informed Delivery Daily Digest that I'm receiving a piece of mail from Honda that states Product Advisory on it.
To be honest other than the factory fill my levels have seemed ok through 3...
My temp is all over the place. If anything it gets blistering hot even when it is set in the 60's? If I bounce down to lo and back up again it seems to right itself...
I live in NH and haven't been notified of the oil dilution TSB as of yet...wasn't there a memo about cold weather owners...
2018 HB EX
Developed a wind noise at the drivers side window a couple of months ago....it's not horrible but noticeable
Has anyone had this successfully fixed?
My commute is 100 miles per day r/t with 99% of it highway. When I first got the car in August I was pretty consistent getting 40+ mpg. Now that winter has hit I'm lucky to get 38...usually between 35-37. Highway speeds usually avg 68-75mph
Avg 340-360 miles per tank......during warm months...
I changed my factory fill out at approx 4500 miles. The reading was showing high over the full mark on the dipstick. I didn't smell anything out of the ordinary when I dumped the factory fill, smelled like used oil to me.
I refilled to just under the full mark with Pennzoil Platinum 0W20...
I hit some styrofoam crap this morning on the highway so I was doing a quick check for marks on the car this morning and while looking under the car I noticed this
I've include a couple of pics of under the side spoilers/skirts. One picture is of the driver side where the tab seems to be...
