That's the one i have and it's based on my first version design, but as you noted it links in so that it's in series. I can say it's definitely more effective.
Thank you, I'm happy with it. And yeah I can't say that I knew it would all be fine, it's been a bit of an experiment, but I'm happy to say that to this point it's been a successful experiment.
1. I think the pwr core would be worth trying for sure
2. Backwards compatible to what? Is it different than the fk8? Do we know if one is better?
3. I wouldn't be too worried myself. I like at 5000' elevation and it gets quite cold here. 13° F sometimes. I just got to 35k miles on the car (this...
The sensor and pigtail are so you can monitor ECT 2 in the secondary radiator and get a delta from ect1. I am only using the sensor simply as a plug however because where the pigtail would tap into it's where the prl ethenol cord plugs in so I can monitor my ethenol content
It has a very similar volume but the dimensions are different. The new one is thinner but a little taller. So it has more surface area. The other big difference is that the old one is bar and plate and this one is tube and fin.
I'm happy to report that the refined version of my front mount secondary radiator kit, made by Driven Crazy and Joel Cheong, it performed very well this weekend at Laguna Seca. The ambient temps were the same as when I was there 6 weeks ago at 67° and I ran on average about 2 seconds a lap...
As stated I'm going back to Laguna Seca this Saturday and it'll be my first time using the new kit on track. The conditions should be similar to when I attended an HPDE at Laguna 6 weeks ago.
I'll try and remember to post my comparison results on here after. If I forget you can always message...
I think you know this but some don't, so just in case, I am vroomn_fk8, but yeah I should be getting the kit in a week or 2. I'll keep everyone posted.
I think it's a poor choice on location, oil is hotter than coolant and so it'll be feeding the radiator very hot air almost guaranteeing overheating the ect
I've had no issues with the radar but I don't have the usr kit (ducting). I could be wrong but I think they or someone else came out with a ducting set up that works with the 20+
