I like it, but I think the 10th gen Type R will look far nicer than the 11th gen based off of spy shots and now this reveal. I'm glad I got my 2020 exactly for this reason.
Yes, it definitely could be. I have had many rocks/pebbles get stuck and it is very loud. I could hear it while driving and even over my music.
Take off your wheel and give it a shake before going to a dealer.
I'm no expert, but it sounds like you just have a rock or something stuck in your brake's dust shield.
Have you done anything to find the issue like remove your wheel and take a look?
I've had my 2020 for 2.5 months and only had the second gear grind once. 5th to 4th lockout has happened a couple of times, but not big deal. I'm at ~1700 miles
Rallye Red was my top choice, but due to COVID and production, there were none coming to my area for potentially 6 months or more. My next choice was CW. I got that and I love it. It's white, but also not white. Championship white looks so good and stands out among the rest of the cars. Like...
I'm almost positive it's because these aren't 5x120. I took a look around and could only find 18x9.5+40 in 5x114.3. That's a popular spec for S2000s, but not FK8.
I believe most people get these, if not the Rally Armors. There is a standard and deluxe option.

I've had very similar noises (and louder screeching) come from my wheel wells before in my 2020, but have been able to resolve it with a quick shakedown of the dust shields. Haven't had the issue persist. Sorry I can't offer more insight, but just wanted to chime in my experience as well.
Initially I was skeptical about it and it did feel a bit strange. After driving ~300 miles, it’s not bad and I kinda like it. I do still would prefer the leather though. I keep trying to be cautious with “over feeling” it and dirtying it up.
When I bought my car, I got them to throw in the trunk tray plus all weather mats because I knew I absolutely needed them.. Both super useful and necessary when you live in the PNW and you have a young child.
I also put on the VTECTURBO decal, but I'm not satisfied with how it turned out so...
Got my CW 2020 on 6/11 and I'm already 250 miles in. No brake squeal, no second gear grind, no issues.
One small thing I learned, which isn't an issue, but I almost thought I had an issue with my hood. I'm used to the S2000 and BRZ and other cars where I just let the hood rest on the latch and...
Picked up my 2020 yesterday! So happy and the car is amazing. I just want to drive everywhere

Bonus pic with my wife’s A-Spec RDX or as we like to call it, our Type R SUV.
I'm currently with Geico. I also noticed they don't have a Type R option, but I gave them my VIN number and they listed the vehicle as a Civic Hatch as well. They have the proper info on my end so I would like to say I wouldn't be liable for misrepresentation, but I'm not an expert. I have full...
My delivery date was supposed to be 5/31. Delayed nearly two weeks due to COVID-19 and protests. Picking up on Thursday or Friday. The frustrating part has been that the car is already in Washington at a local depot. They just haven't transferred it from the depot to the dealership for some...
Are you using those with aftermarket wheels or the OEM wheels? If OEM, you won't be able to run those because you need a ball seat type lug nut. The ones you linked are conical.
Congrats! I’m picking mine up next week :)
Most people say the first thing you should do is PPF and ceramic coating to protect the paint. Next is probably bumping down to 18” wheels and perhaps rock guards as I’ve been told these cars kick up rocks like crazy.
Besides that, what I’m personally...
