I know someone with an OBD2 reader/scanner that will read codes from a wheel speed sensor. They used it to find a faulty sensor on a Jeep. I'll try to find out what they used & hopefully it works with Hondas. I was assisting when they replaced the sensor & the new one works. IOW the OBD2 reader...
Years ago on a different car the evaporator froze up a couple times which exhibited similar systems. The A/C was working but after awhile it was barely blowing out cool air. I shut off the A/C for 10-15 minutes which gave time for the evaporator to thaw out & the A/C started working.
A...
Engine Masters on the MotorTrend channel did an episode on oil levels & oil pans with a windage tray. Every time they drained some oil they picked up a few horsepower. However the more important thing they showed was how oil pressure dropped significantly at high RPM and high oil levels due to...
The Honda dealer wants $220 for a battery with a pro-rated 100 month warranty. Covered 100% for 3 years and then pro-rated for the remaining 5 year.
AutoZone & AdvanceAuto both want $190 for battery with a 2 yr warranty & $210 for a 3 yr battery. Interstate wants $200 with a 2 yr warranty &...
I looked into the Honda Hack once before & didn't want to risk rooting the system just for a compass. I'll look into it again, but it just seems easier and/or more foolproof to get a digital compass.
I rarely need a compass but sometimes it's nice to have. It appears most of the inexpensive ones use GPS & I wonder if they work if set in the console compartment in front of the shifter or if that's too shielded from satellite signals. Anyone ever use a digital compass such as this...
Father says his daughterās car is melting in the driveway. Honda says itās not covered by warranty.

You could try the superglue/backing soda/graphite process. I used this to repair a cracked tab on on air cleaner housing on my other car and it has held up to the heat & vibration since repaired 6 months ago.

My last couple oil changes have been between 2,000 & 2,500 miles and about 10.5 months between them. IIRC the MM came on at 15% oil life. That 310 day mark might be pretty close to when the MM came on.
In fact the MM came on again about a week or so ago for "B 1 7". No mention of oil change...
The chart doesn't say anything about the time engine running as you stated in posting #15.
But it does say ācalculates a current driving condition, an engine load and an appropriate engine oil replacement periodā.
It even shows 2 lines, one for highway driving & one for in town driving.
Could there be a difference due to where the car or condenser was built?
In this other condenser thread thereās a discussion where the condensers come from.

My 2018 Owners Manual says:
"Driving in mountainous areas at very low vehicle speeds results in higher transmission temperatures. This requires transmission fluid changes more frequently than recommended by the Maintenance Minder. If you regularly drive your vehicle under these conditions, have...
Thank you for doing this.
I downloaded the file OK. However when I went to save it, Adobe Acrobat Reader locked up & I got a message saying that the document could not be saved because there was a problem reading it.
I downloaded a second time & went to save it & this was taking a long time...
Thanks for posting the links.
I saw videos on removing the radio & it apparently it still has to be pulled out somewhat in order to get at screws on the sides.
In the videos I watched, people were buying complete used radios & swapping screens & everyone had problems adjusting the brightness...
Iāve had that happen after an alignment, another reason not to have someone mess with settings if everything is OK.
Not sure how easy it is to get to on the Civic but you could tweak the tie rods. Iāve done this on other cars to straighten the steering wheel. Presuming everything is OK except...
Years ago I had an alignment & tire rotation & the car pulled to the left. The shop re-checked the alignment but the car still pulled to the left. Swapped the front tires side to side & the car pulled to the right. Something was out of whack with the one tire but never noticed it when the tire...
This is not a Honda, but shows what was removed in order to get at the evaporator, which is in that black housing on the passenger side. Makes me a bit concerned when/if the evaporator has to be replaced.
