  1. Interior Fabric - Any way to improve?

I forgot reading years ago that the CTR pieces fit. Do people order them thru dealers?
  2. Warranty question

It seems odd to me that since Honda clearly publishes its rates that someone would not know the rate that everyone gets regardless of racial makeup. Racist lawsuits like this are one of this countryā€™s biggest social ills. Itā€™s just sad that it goes on.
  3. Interior Fabric - Any way to improve?

LOL! Yeah, nothing is better than a ā€œbest engine everā€ statement. I also thing the old Ford 4.9L straight 6 was an amazing engine. It was supposed to be a diesel, which I think is why it was such a good gas engine.
  4. Interior Fabric - Any way to improve?

I left out the ā€˜08 Si coupe, ā€˜11 Si coupe, and ā€˜14 Si coupe. I did not care for the 2.4L at all. Very boring car in my opinion. My favorites in descending order are: ā€˜20 Si, ā€˜11 Si, ā€˜08 Si, ā€˜18 Si, ā€˜14 Si. Honestly the ā€˜14 is way down below the others. The CTR is obviously awesome, but it...
  5. Interior Fabric - Any way to improve?

Great info. Thank you very much for the feedback.
  6. Interior Fabric - Any way to improve?

Iā€™m in my fifth Si coupe as of yesterday. White 2020. Had a ā€˜19 CTR, too, and it was just not a good car for roads where I live. Anyway, I have the same two complaints now that I had on my ā€˜18. Filthy looking seats and trim fabric, and the rattling sunroof when open. Has anyone tried a...
  7. FS: 2019 Sonic Gray Pearl

I am moving to Colorado and need to buy a truck. The roads where Iā€™m going would destroy a CTR. See my ad here: https://lexington.craigslist.org/cto/d/lexington-2019-honda-type/7012858396.html
  8. All-seasons that fit 20” OEM rim

Long story short, Iā€™m hopefully moving across the country at any time and will not be able to keep my Type R there. In the meantime, Iā€™m trying to spend the least to get some all-season rubber on it. That means stock rims with a 255 or 35+ tire. I couldnā€™t care less about performance. I just...
  9. Episode 10: Another day in the life of an R owner. Deconstruction of the Dream

I had a ā€˜15 Mustang GT and donā€™t miss it. Lost $10K in value in 6 months, had a wheel bearing fail at 3,000 miles which Ford denied warranty claim on. The manual tranny was just garbage. Traded it at 5,500 miles and never again.
  10. Practical Justifications for the Type R

The R does everything my two row SUV could do, with a lower hatch entry. I donā€™t regret losing the SUV at all. The R is very practical in my opinion.
  11. FACE LIFT TYPE R SPOTTED? Check out the pic. What do you think?

I canā€™t see my spoiler at all. Not sure how you are saying it blocks anything.
  12. Truck lost its load next to me - what would you do?

Find yourself a good paintless dent repair shop and itā€™ll set you free. I always worried about dings, until my wifeā€™s brand new car got $3500 in hail damage. They not only got every single dent out, but also got out a couple I noticed from the factory/dealer. My shop will perfectly remove...
  13. Fun ownership poll

I don't speak for others. It's funny you do and bother telling me about personal growth and awareness. Get a grip on yourself. When I tell you that you obviously are a crappy driver, I'm speaking for myself.
  14. Saying goodbye... Probably

I think you can easily get $30K at worst. It's a good time to either detail the heck out of it if you have any experience, or time, or pay someone. That pays back far more than it costs. Good luck. What are you looking to buy?
  15. Fun ownership poll

Speaking for everyone, I see. I can make the car grind if I treat it like a UPS truck. The transmission has subtle characteristics that you have to work around, like any car. If you recognize those and accommodate them, you can drive like a rock star, nobody will notice the difference, and...
  16. I think Im finally tired of the type R... at least its drive train.

My wife and I have had three Nissan Muranos from '16-'18 and they are amazing cars for crap traffic, if there ever was such a thing. They are super-smooth from the drivetrain, take bumps great for a car suspension, very quiet inside, have a great auto A/C, good sound systems, etc. I have no...
  17. Issues with my CTR??

The dealer can probably isolate the rid you of the rattle. The seat clicking is the frame inside that pushes the headrest forward in an accident, or the springs across the back. I fixed a noisy seat in my '15 Mustang GT by unzipping the cover over the back and lubricating a spot that was...
  18. If you were selling yours...

When it comes to accidents people only care what the Carfax says. My '18 Murano I traded had a black piece of plastic on the bumper replaced ($117 with labor) because a cop bumped me at a stop light. Regardless how minor, I got shafted out of $2500 on my trade because of the "accident" on my...
  19. FACE LIFT TYPE R SPOTTED? Check out the pic. What do you think?

Seems about 100% likely to me, although I'm surprised by the spoiler. I wonder if all along that was planned as a Euro feature.
