Sounds stock to me. The recording in the first post isn't that loud and the microphone is very close to the exhaust. Sounds nothing like the one a few posts later with the catless downpipe (appreciate the post, definitely keeping the stock exhaust lol) or any other modded exhaust clips i've heard.
For $30 you can try them out and see for yourself. Super easy to install.
Stock si mount. Installed inserts with ~40k miles, at 54k now.
It was a noticeable difference for a week or so i guess. I remember it sounding different cranking up and taking off from a stop. That either went away or...
I have the perrin inserts. I noticed a difference in the NVH right away but its so minor overall that I'm shocked to see so much negative feedback. I'm not getting a catback or do any other exhaust mods because I don't want the annoyance day to day. I say that to give some comparison to how...
Your clutch is toast. Baby it until you're able to replace it. This means use lower gears to accelerate as much as possible, keeping rpms above 4k when accelerating and limit throttle % as much as possible as well. Never go wide open throttle (WOT) in over drive gears (5th-6th) and now that its...
Hey, I started to attempt to go into all that but decided I was getting a little over my head as all my research has been on the CT9A, which is also why I said to swap the springs without even thinking about how they're unique front to rear... FYI, that was me that PM'd you last month on EVOM...
I think you should swap the springs front to rear. The rear should be stiffer to account for the extra lever arm the rear suspension has. Even stock the rear is 45% stiffer.
SI OEM
Front Spring Rate: 144.186 lbs/in
Rear Spring Rate: 208.776 lbs/in
The magnet is super strong. You'd need R comps to turn hard enough or be going off some sweep jumps for terrain to matter. I also have the "mini" iphone so maybe one of the bigguns wouldn't fare as well. If I don't pull the phone off with a twist technique, it pulls the mount off the dash.
I got this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QQ185Z1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
Then combined this with it to use the magsafe mount: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08Q3LV881/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Have you ridden in a car with Ohlins? I have Ohlins on my Evo 8 and its ride comfort is pretty comparable to my Si... It really depends on how bad the roads are in your area and what spring rates. The road and track Ohlins with DFV actually ride pretty well. Definitely the best riding coilover...
You think your miles per gallon increased before? As in your car used negative fuel while idling at stop lights? That's the only way to increase MPG while stationary... This man's car used to create fuel.
Most dealers put MSRP online. I've even seen them Have MSRP with it crossed out and "Don't pay MSRP!" by it like they do for regular cars that you can get under MSRP. I call and there is always a mark-up. Its just to get you to call. Its quite annoying!
I just got a quote from carmax just to see what they'd pay for my 2018 si sedan. I have 36k miles and an accident on record. They offered $22,800! my offer expires tomorrow.
